TailGate Down, a Chesapeake Virginia based, high energy, new country rock band, is rapidly making a name for themselves. With the completion of a twelve song demo under their belts, they are currently playing regionally and locally. The method behind the demo is to play these songs out live for a few months to see which songs are crowd friendly and what the response to the songs are. The decision not to release these songs as a first record was made to insure that all songs on the first release would appeal to the masses. With this strategy, they feel that their first record can be one that of which they and their fans, can be proud of. All songs on this demo were written and recorded by the members of TailGate Down. For the past few years, they have been performing at local festivals and other major events. Having the opportunity to support many national acts such as Gretchen Wilson, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Gary Allan, Trace Atkins, Martina McBride, Jamie O’Neil, Craig Morgan, Dierks Bentley, Trick Pony, Terri Clark, Trace Atkins, Joe Diffie, Toby Keith, LoneStar, Travis Tritt, Tracey Byrd, and Kenny Chesney to name a few. Continuing to receive positive feedback from their affiliates. Having played many major concert halls in the eastern region such as the Norva and the Virginia Beach Amphitheater, they still enjoy getting back to the basics in local clubs. Each show with a national act has ranged from 15,000 to 30,000 people. With regular scheduling in Richmond , Franklin , and Petersburg and locally in Chesapeake , these guys pride themselves on their live shows. With full in-house production and merchandising, they are able to meet the demands of any situation. TailGate Down has proven time and time again that they are able to play the big shows. Their idea behind scheduling dates is not to over-saturate. Basically, booking every other weekend along with festivals and supporting national acts seems to be what works for this band; Making their shows more of an event than just another gig. They urge their fans to respond by e-mail after each show, to give criticism, be it positive or negative. They feel if the fans are happy and entertained, they will return. And they do.

We really have a great time at Bahama Joes with all of our friends there, but due to rising travel costs, we won't be able to continue to play there... But come see us right up the road at Outlaws in Petersburg or Overtime Sports Bar and Grill in Manquin! The Country shall continue!!
