Music Music Music Music...and of course my family and friends!
Music
My Influences are too numerous to mention here, in their entirety. So this'll be the condensed version. I was raised on Classic Rock and Blues, from my parents. And of course Radio Hits from the 70's. Then in the 80's I discovered Punk, Heavy Metal, and ultimately, Death Metal and Grindcore, among many other extreme forms of music. I have a great love for music in most ALL forms. So, instead of listing all the kinds of music I like, I'll list the few that I DON'T like. Yes, there is some music that I do not like to listen to. The main offender is Country. Especially that contemporary Country crap. I can handle some old-school, outlaw country, in moderation. Other than that, the only kind of music I really dislike is Creed. If I had to pick 3 genres of music that are my favorite, I would have to say that 5 is my minimum. And that's a stretch. But, if I absolutely had to, the 5 would probably be Extreme Metal(wide range), Classic Rock, Stoner/Doom Metal, Blues and just plain old ROCK(very wide range). I definitely do prefer METAL to about anything else. Don't know why? Guess it's in my blood. It's cuz... of bands like Slayer and Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax, Death and Obitiuary...oh,wait I wasn't supposed to be listing bands I like here.
Here's a list of all the bands and/or musicians, I've ever played with:
I was thinking about adding a list of my old and new musical cohorts, that I either have jammed with over the years, or played in bands with, or maybe both. But that list would take some research. But I still just might do it! So stay tuned for that!
Movies
Easy Rider, Step Brothers, Trailer Park Boys, Pick Of Destiny, The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, The Shining, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs, Four Rooms, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk Til Dawn, Jackie Brown, Trailer Park Boys Movie, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Death Proof, Hostel, Blue Velvet, Hard Candy, The Wall, The Secretary, The Usual Suspects, Suicide Kings, Stand By Me... Mostly Indepedent Films, Horror Movies & Comedies, and that's enough for now, I guess...
Television
Trailer Park Boys, The Office, Nip/Tuck, Metalocalypse, The Sopranos, 30 Rock, SNL, Monty Python, Benny Hill, SCTV, Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Seinfeld, Jackass, South Park, Chappelle's Show, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, just to name a few...
Books
As much as I like to read a good Stephen King book or something like that, I'd much rather listen to a record(CD...whatever you wanna call it). So, instead of listing books here, I will list the bands that grace my personal CD/record/tape collection....The list is always growing!!!

My name is Terry. I live in Albany, Oregon, but was born and raised in Brownsville. I went to and graduated from the Central Linn School District. I've only been employed by 5 companies since I finished High School, and only 2 in the last 14 years. And I'd been working steadily for the last 19 1/2. For the last few years, I've been playing music and hosting karaoke for a living, and it's great! I was attending College at LCC, majoring in music. Maintaining a 3.2 GPA. But have to take some time off to get financially sound with myself. I've got one year under my belt. I'll resume soon. Until then, I'm just gonna keep rocking!!
Here is some more info about me....
I LOVE, LIVE & BREATH MUSIC!!! WITHOUT IT, I WOULD NOT SURVIVE!!!
I play in a bunch of bands but right, including but not limited to, Perpetual Conversion(seeking drummer), The Bone Jars, Bleach(Nirvana Tribute), Sons Of Confusion and Victims Of Internal Decay, who recently did a reunion show. It was the first V.O.I.D. show in over 11 years. We will be recording a new full-length album in 2010. I just joined an S.O.D. Tribute band called Kill Yourself, but we're still looking for a singer. I still need a band to play drums for, to fill the void that was left by my departure from my previous band, 19 Limbs Need a drummer? Hit me up.
All my previous and present efforts are listed to your left.
I have an amazingly incredible daughter, who means everything to me in the world! She kicks ass in sports, especially basketball & volleyball. She sings like an angel, and she does great in school. She brings great joy into my life! She's Awesome. Period! No wait...Comma, but I don't get to see her NEARLY enough. It seems to have become a rare occasion. Exclamation point! She's sooo busy with school and sports and her job. She is a manager at Mickey D's and a full-time college student! She's such a good girl. I LOVE HER SOOOO MUCH!!!!
I have a wonderful wife that I also love VERY MUCH! She is the ultimate supporter of me and everything I do and want. She's the BEST! We are...how do you say... SOULMATES!?! This time is for good!! We met on September 25th, 2004. We became official bf/gf on July 3rd, 2005. We married on August 15th, 2008.
Music is my 1st and true love! I'm addicted to it! That's probably why I play in like 50 bands. At this point, I'm making an attempt to rid myself of physical labor by playing music, and perhaps, getting a teaching gig, on the side
Here's a bit about my musical upbringing....
I started taking piano lessons when I was 3 years old. Special thanks to my Grandma Dorothy for paying for the lessons and taking me to and fro...
I continued that until I was 11, when I found an electric guitar, and decided the piano wasn't LOUD enough...
When I was 7, I performed with local rock favorites, Wings Of Freedom, at the Pioneer Picnic Rock Dance. I played a Hammond B-3 organ and sang. I just remember there being alot of people there. I sang Pinball Wizard, by the Who, and Worse Comes to Worse, by Billy Joel. Good Times. I think after that I was hooked on the live performance...
I performed in numerous local talent shows...
I played the alto saxophone from 5th-10th grade in the concert band and Jazz band...
I sang in Choir and was in Swing Choir from 9th-12th grade. Actually did Broadway type stuff...
In 10th grade, we did Ratt and the Scorpions for the air-rock competition...
For my 15th birthday, my parents got me a rocker package, consisting of a guitar, a bass, an amp and a distortion pedal. I was hooked. I started playing and jamming with drummers from then on, but didn't actually join a band til 1990...
The rest of my musical history is listed on the left...
I don't know what else to write here yet, so I'll wait to write more later...
Who I'd like to meet: Available Feb. 10th in the US...
Anyone who wants to help me help them by helping me help myself...does that make sense? Ummmm...I'd like to meet alot of people who have aready passed on. To numerous to mention...But I have plenty of so-called "man crushes", that I wouldn't mind meeting. Like Jack Black(already met K.G.), Kevin Sharp, Mike Patton, Brian Slagel, Mark "Barney" Greenway, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri...I can't think of anymore right now, but if I do, I'll let you know.

Well, I got the job from Carl's dad. They needed an MCO, and then when they hired me, I got a promotion to Director. MCO is Master Control Operator. It's pretty much the guy that plots the commercials and shows. But yeah, I can do weekend shows, but only on Mon and Tue, and nobody else in either band is all that stoked on playing shows those nights. Fuckin sucks.
I did! on the 3rd. Still pretty swollen, and hurty. But alls good. I told Danna that I most likely have this saturday off, so kyle and I should come visit. Sound good? :)
