Tory's Interests
General
Music...my band (Ahltyrra) and others, my writing, Rocky, any theater, Zen Paganism (it's what I am)...other things...
Music
Anything that makes sense! Rock, Blues, Jazz, World, Folk and Roots music primarily. I'm always interested in music and artists I've not heard of before; being in radio, I know how tough it is for new artists and new forms to get a shot.
Movies
Rocky Horror, Still Crazy, 2001, 2010, Star Wars (the first one), Star Trek (except V), The Kids Are Alright, Thelonious Monk: Straight No Chaser, anything by Aardman Productions, The Full Monty, nearly everything Monty Python's done, most documentaries if they're done right.
Television
Are you kidding? The Weather Channel is on at work 24/7! I don't have cable, and I do my best to ignore the stuff people watch on the monitors at the job...I am NOT, however one of those "Kill Your Television" twits. I will say I do like the occasional coherent show on BBC America.
Books
Anything by Thich Nhat Hanh, most of Douglas Reeman's works, Lama Surya Das, Pema Chodron, the Dalai Lama, Raven Kaldera, Brad Warner, Arthur Clarke, Christopher Moore, Frederick Stonehouse, and quite a few others.
Heroes
My parents, and the many people who I've met in my life that inspire, galvanize me into action, or just plain make me think!

About me: I am 42 years young, a native New Englander now living in York, PA, as I have since 2000.
Working as a traffic/weather reporter for XM Satellite Radio in Washington, DC, as well as the Sunday night host of "Barn Burnin'," on XM-12 (X-Country), specializing in the newgrass/acoustic side of the Americana format.
I play guitar, bass, djembe and sing in a mostly original band called Ahltyrra with my mates Beth Sims, Dan Shearer and Barbara Rode (www.myspace.com/ahltyrra) -- Beth and I been collaborating and occasionally performing since early 2006, and we're getting ready to play out in the near future.
My second major project is literary: I have written a fiction series to be called the "Sweet Dreams Series." All five books are full-length novels that include minimal sci-fi, fantasy and an examination of American music forms (the fourth and fifth books are now in the rough editing stages).
My aim is to put this out in book form, along with a graphic novel version, with possible companion CDs that will turn on readers to music they may not be totally familiar with.
Who I'd like to meet: If you're into music, books (PUBLISHERS: SEE ABOVE, PLEASE), Buddhism, Paganism (Wicca or otherwise), theater, Rocky Horror, Puroresu, British comedy or anything you think might be related...
HEROES OF WORLD CLASS ..
I see we share some lovely friends on here and common interests. Do come and chat anytime! I enjoyed your page. Thanks for the request. Blessings, fanona
Thanks for adding me. ¶ People hear only what they want, so facts alone won't wake them; they need inspiration too. A copy of a copy of a copy of Buddha or Jesus becomes ritualized, and loses his context and content. Teaching for 30 years has shown me that different audiences require different presentations, and even the clearest lecture must be supplemented by one-to-one conversation. Still, I write what I can. ¶ This world's evils have a common root: Bullies, liars, thieves, and murderers — in market, government, and elsewhere — believe we're all separate, motivated only by self-interest, greed, and fear. They want us to share that belief, for they use it to justify themselves, to keep us apart, to shape the world's political and economic systems, perpetuating war and poverty. Their power comes not so much from cabals as from ubiquitous propaganda that we hardly notice, implicit in tv and newspapers. ¶ But they're mistaken about our motives. You and I have found love inside ourselves and our friends. It's in everyone, if we can just wake them, for we're all one flesh and blood. Let's spread that vision, for until we do our other advances will be minor and temporary. ¶ The outcome of the ideological struggle is not yet determined, so no one can afford to be just a spectator. Join the conversation, the movement, if you haven't already, in whatever way feels right for you. We must all learn from one another; each of us knows only part of the song. Global enlightenment has never been done before, so we have to invent it along the way. ¶ Question authority. Keep fighting, loving, hoping, singing. Hand in hand, we may still be able to heal this world. — Eric
Tiger Jeet Singh said now he want to last fight with Antonio Inoki since Inoki broken his arm way back, 6.24.1974. So he wanted to wrestle one more time at HUSTLE GP that he saying. You never know what might happen.
