Music
Anything that makes sense! Rock, Blues, Jazz, World, Folk and Roots music primarily. I'm always interested in music and artists I've not heard of before; being in radio, I know how tough it is for new artists and new forms to get a shot.
And then there's this...myself and Merryiad (of Ahltyrra) performing live at the Nature Church, 9/7/08...doing "All One."
One of my big inspirations, Joe Ely...with...is that...?!?
all just to get to you
And this: Ahltyrra live at S/WB Pagan Pride, 10-11-09

Movies
Rocky Horror, Amazing Journey: The Story of the Who, Still Crazy, 2001, 2010, Star Wars (the first one), Star Trek (except V), The Kids Are Alright, Thelonious Monk: Straight No Chaser, anything by Aardman Productions, The Full Monty, nearly everything Monty Python's done, most documentaries if they're done right.
Television
I don't have cable...I am NOT, however one of those "Kill Your Television" twits. I do find I've become a fan of "Qi" and "Have I Got News For You," but I can only get them via Youtube.
Books
Anything by Thich Nhat Hanh, most of Douglas Reeman's works, Lama Surya Das, Pema Chodron, the Dalai Lama, D.T. Suzuki, Raven Kaldera, Brad Warner, Arthur Clarke, Christopher Moore, Kim Wong Keltner, Oscar Wilde, PG Wodehouse, Frederick Stonehouse, and quite a few others.
Heroes
My parents, and the many people who I've met in my life that inspire, galvanize me into action, or just plain make me think!

About me: I am 44, a native Vermonter now living in York, PA, as I have since 2000.
Working: well, for myself now! I was until recently a traffic/weather reporter for XM Satellite Radio in Washington, DC, and a former weekend/fill-in DJ for the channel formerly known as X-Country.
I play guitar, djembe and sing in a mostly original band called Ahltyrra with my mates Beth Sims, Dan Shearer, Barbara Rode, Branden Clayton, Johnny Lauver and Lyle Reed (www.myspace.com/ahltyrra) -- Beth and I been collaborating and occasionally performing since early 2006, and we're closing in on recording for the first time, which appears will be in 2010.
I'm also back to school, at the Pennsylvania Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
My second major project is literary: I have been writing a fiction series to be called the "Sweet Dreams Series." Book 1, subtitled, "Searching for Roy Buchanan" is now complete. All five books are full-length novels that include minimal sci-fi, fantasy and an examination of American music forms (the fourth and fifth books are now in the rough editing stages).
My aim is to put this out in book form, along with a graphic novel version, with possible companion CDs that will turn on readers to music they may not be totally familiar with.
Of late, I've also become the Indie Music Examiner for the Harrisburg area. Examiner.com is where to find me!
Who I'd like to meet: If you're into music, books (PUBLISHERS: SEE ABOVE, PLEASE), Buddhism, Paganism (Wicca or otherwise), theater, Rocky Horror, Puroresu, British comedy or anything you think might be related...and definitely this guy below...
Ronnie Earl...the finest guitarist in the world (in my humble opinion)!
