BELOW IS A LIVE RECORDING (UNEDITED) FROM MAXIMUM CHILL FACILITY "HOUSE CONCERT" OCT. 2007. BE SURE TO HIT PLAY/PAUSE ON THE CASSETTE!
Sinatra, Satchmo, Louis Jordan, Nat King Cole, Ellington, Miles, Herbie, Ray Charles, Burt Bacharach, Al Jarreau, Stevie, Sting, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Tower of Power, Prince, Al Green, Sam & Dave, E, W&F, The Beatles, Jamie Cullum, John Legend, I listen to many different styles of Music and take some from all the good stuff. I've become more and more interested in great studio production, however, i still enjoy an authentic sound or performance that is not overly produced.
Sounds Like
I've been told i sound like Al Jarreau, Harry Connick Jr, Van Morrison, and even Lou Rawls. The full-band sound is contemporary yet classic in it's delivery. It's strongly influenced by classic soul/r&b, pop/rock, and vocal jazz (including the blues & gospel), jazz/funk/latin and various singer/song-writers. The overall sound of the group changes depending on the players, whether we're playing acoustic or electric instruments. Most often during shows we pay tribute to (often incorporating fresh arrangements) Ray Charles, Dr. John, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Miles, B.Bacharach, Ellington, Satchmo, various jazz standards, Harry Connick Jr., Paul Simon, Sting, Van Morrison,The Beatles, Motown and song-writer collaborator friends and our originals!
NOTE: My playlists are not here at myspace and www.tonygallo.com is down, so please e-mail tony@tonygallo.com if you want me to send you a sample playlist. It's quite large and ever-changing.

Tony Gallo(vocalist/bandleader/producer): Now a full-time purveyor of music and recording artist. Tony started out playing bass guitar (thanks to his first mentor, Ralph Granese) and singing at the age of 14 with the still popular cover band, White Lightnin http://www.white-lightnin.com. Tony later studied with Mike Turk, Brian Maes, Jacquie Chambers and Sandi Bedrosian, but most importantly has honed his skills from performing with his truly talented musicians & collaborators. What’s Crackin’ Tony Gallo ? We’re hitting back our myspace folks to let you know that your prayers have been answered. What prayers, you may ask. Well, today my friends, the good reptiles over at Bossasaurus (namely the ones writing this message) have teamed up with Murs (Living Legends, Def Jux, 9th Wonder, etc.) to, for the first time ever, offer you a taste of our music with an emcee over them. If you hate emcees and were feeling the tranquility of our un-defiled instrumental works than we sincerely apologize for our critical error in judgment. Otherwise come on over and check out:
We hope you enjoy it. If you don't come thru and talk that sweet smack.
I will keep you in mind when I open a bar in Virginia Beach. Do you think you would be willing to play at Nikki's? It would be an honor to have you play at Nikki's.
