Where did I go?
Junior year of High School I entered college through the Running Start program. It was actually summer of Sophmore year that I took 10 credits to see what college would be like. And I was hooked. I planned out all my classes so the high school requirements lined up with the degree programs and the transfer degree into the University of Washington. I graduated from college with my AAS a week before I got my high school diploma. Despite what people say about the high school experience, Running Start saved me $800 a quarter (for two years) and made college possible.
Then where did I go?
I took general classes earning my AAS to figure out what I wanted to do. Although I've always really known what I wanted to do, it's figuring out the path to get there that is the hard part. My degrees have been science based mixed with computers because I've always wanted to combine my biology background with computers. I know I'm supposed to be in the biotechnolgy field. For my internship part of my BS, I worked for a year in biotech doing cancer research.
Biotechnology is a facinating field, unfortunately our culture needs to revolve around money otherwise the business part disolves. That forces a focus into a niche areas which isn't great for doing a broad sweep, trying many things, to find cures for illness and disease. I jumped into software development for the past 6 years, but I'm aching to get back to biotechnology. This time, I have some game. Think of your usual cancer research just throw in a few mechanical arms and some artificial intelligence. Now I just need to find the path. If we focus our careers in cancer research for the next 40 years, we have to find something...
Linae and I got married on June 24, 2000. I try to give her support while she continues to work on her Master's of Education in Technology. She's done a lot of things in the meantime. She got certified in game design. Linae has taken more programming classes and gets better grades than I ever got. She's practically got a 4.0 in every class. Linae might settle for writing edutainment software for kids, but she really wants to teach K-3.

Day Job
During the day, I work on Search Engine technology. The last product I released was called [Zoo], a search engine for kids. Before that, [Dogpile.com], a partner search engine with [Google]. Before that, [Moviso.com], a place to get ringtones for your cell phone. Before that, [FindIt], .. yellow pages and white pages similar to [MapQuest.com]. Before that, [PublicRecords.com], another search engine that shows public records (your previous aliases, how much your houses are worth, your nearest neighbors), military records, and criminal records.
Night Hobby
At night, I make games. [Sector 13] is a 3d space shooter due out in the fall of 2006 ([Video]).
