some other producers sometimes, but i like to think i've got my own style!
I first started producing around 2002 and then stopped after a year or so. I restarted again in 2006...and here I am...and this time i aint gona stop!
The tools I use are simple Reason re-wired into SONAR, Audacity/Soundforge for cutting my loops if im sampling, Recycle for putting them loops into Reason and a M-Audio Oxygen 49 to sequence/compose.
Still savin up for that MPC tho!
When I sit down in front of my equipment ideas just comes to me, and like every producer mostly something good comes out, other times its just plain crap. Any producer that tells you otherwise ain't real. I usually find a good sample and keep working with it until i get something decent, it could take 1 go, it could take 10, you move to other stuff and come back to it. if im composing i just keep all my work, something crap in one song could be fire in another...
I usually produce hip-hop, rap, rnb, soul and neo-soul.
I could play the guitar (havent done for many years now but i still remember bits), i can play the keyboard too. i have got a grade 4 in music theory
None of my sampled songs are cleared, they are just there to showcase my talent. If they violate any copyrights, get in touch and I'll remove the song.
If you want to use an instrumental you can lease it from me...get in touch and we'll talk...obviously if the instrumental is goin to be part of a commercial release you'll need to clear the sample yourself...i'll give yo any information you need for this.
