Hello World, Shawn TiL Dawn member of the Hip Hop Duo “Tha Brown Pound” checkin in. Shawn has spent the past 5 years as a songwriter, co-producer, recording artist, promoter, performer, is deeply involved in all types of music attending countless concerts and even works parties as a DJ. Now it’s his time to shine releasing his first solo mixtape album. After being featured on multiple radio hits, compilation albums, music downloads in 35 countries, and performances at over 60 venues. Shawn and Big Hit Buda have spent countless hours working and performing together with one goal in mind…to Make Hit Records! And that’s exactly what they did.
There first project was a hit song called “THA ILLINI” which broke the airwaves at WBNQ and Hot 105.5. Tha Brown Pound then started performing all over central Illinois which they are originally from. As our fan base grew, Shawn and Buda teamed up with Mic B. Cribbs, and Neil Porter to make their next Big Hit “WE DA BEARS” which won 103.5 Kiss FMs Best Bears Song in Chicago Contest and was featured on 97.9 The Loop, Q101, Power 92, 107.5 and other independent radio stations and websites. The hit song landed them live performances on WGN’s Morning Show, the House of Blues and a feature on CBS Morning News. Their website has reached over 2 million hits and counting.
Out to prove that they are more than sports rappers, Shawn and Buda teamed up with artists throughout the Midwest to work on their compilation album titled “STRICTLY BANGAZ”. This album features rising stars like YoungBlaze, Que Billah, Mr. Sche & Al Kapone (who co-wrote and produced “Whoop That Trick” for the Hustle and Flow Soundtrack) and Jameisha Trice, the singer with a Golden Voice. Shawn teamed up with Jameisha for a remix of 50-50 produced by the insomniax which landed Shawn his 3rd song to hit the radio waves. STRICTLY BANGAZ is available on iTunes and Cd Baby.

This album titled “The Experiment” contains everything from Club Bangers like “Twist That” and “Big Booty Girls” to hilarious parodies like “Throw Some Cheese” and “Wiffle Bat Boy” to politically conscious records like “ELECT OBAMA”, “Mr. Bush”, and “Rhythm of the Beat”, the album also touches on Shawn’s experiences with females on tracks like “I Want You (remix)” and “Who Can I Run To”.
