Tha Menu is comprised of siblings Steffin(24) & Lydia(23) Phifer. Although they have been singing and rapping together for most of their lives they didn't decide to pursue a career in music as Tha Menu until 2004. Their name reflects their eclectic sound (it’s like a menu of music) and their vow to make sure their lyrical content is always brain food in one way or another. Growing up in the church as PK's (Preacher's Kids) has played a major role in helping develop Stephen and Lydia into the Young Man and Young Woman of God that they are today. They treat their music like a personal diary believing that this is the best way to make their music relatable to their audience. Both have been trained since a young age to be natural ENTERTAINERS and it comes across in their live shows. Although Tha Menu's main focus is Generation Y they do have something for everyone with songs that cross genres from Hip Hop, Soul, blues, R n B, jazz, and rock to progressive and experimental tracks that can't really be defined by one genre. Tha Menu is quickly earning a great reputation for their bold content, unique sound, and stylish swagger in their hometown of Atlantic City, NJ and all over the world. Their most notable achievement so far in their short career is landing a cameo in FSG recording artist Julius Petty’s music video for his single “MOVE” after impressing Julius at a performance in NY. The video has aired numerous times on BET. Their first project called "PK Diaries" was released on February 6, 2009. Tha Menu is signed to Gen Genius Inc. a company which Steffin is founder and CEO of. Between the Phifer siblings they have training in journalism, singing, songwriting and arranging, recording studio engineering, film production, TV and radio broadcasting, fashion designing, cosmetics, acting, and dance. They utilize all their training to bring in revenue for Gen Genius Inc. and to maximize the potential of Tha Menu as a powerhouse entertainment duo.
