Thana Harris developed as a singer while living in Los Angeles in the 1980's with husband and Frank Zappa band member Bob Harris. Thana recorded with Zappa as well as world-renowned rock guitarist Steve Vai. These influences resulted in an autobiography titled "Under the Same Moon: My life with Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Bob Harris, and a community of other artistic souls," puplished in 1999. Her book was followed by a solo debut album, "Thanatopsis." The album, produced by Bob Harris, offers listeners an aural feast of evocative vocals, high caliber musicianship, and pristine production. Thana Harris is presently exploring and experimenting with Brazilian Jazz music. Her book and CD are available on Amazon.com; You can also buy "Thanatopsis" here:
As a holiday tradition for the Harris family, Thana along with her husband Bob and son Nate have released a Christmas CD for your annual holiday listening pleasure.
Just a quick hi, sweetie. I'm busier than, well, just busy as I suppose you are. And now the holidays. Argh, bah humbug! They come quicker every year it seems.
Well, good morning to you! Your honey will be on his way home this evening, and we have enjoyed having him. He is certainly a great house guest. He showed us the picture of your little family of three (beautiful!), and the one of Nate alone with his guitar up at a microphone and, what a great looking guy!! I had Bob show it to Beau, my boy (13) and that's how he wants his hair. He has no doubt now....that's what he wants! You have a wonderful family.
Have a great week, and I'll be talking to you again soon.
I had been hoping to see you before now, but no such luck. I hope you and the boys (Bob/Nate) are doing well, and maybe, just maybe, I can see you before long!
Mustafio used to sell toilet paper to restaurants, in bulk 90 roll cartons. Mr. Bear worked at the hospital and he'd let me into the warehouse to steal all the toilet paper I was willing to carry. And Franco the security guard was on to the caper, but he looked the other way as long as I gave him a 90 roll box, which I would deliver to his house semi-annually.
