Our biggest influences would have to be the lives we have lived up until this very moment. Darren has grown and learned so much from all of the amazing musicians he has played with through the years (too many to name!) and Molly by her upbringing in the Sioux City institution that was known as Uncle John Records. They both love music more than almost anything and some of the current/past influences include... The Band, Leon Russell, Gram Parsons, Rolling Stones, Blind Willie Johnson, Jim White, Carter Family, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Felice Brothers, Karen Dalton, Bob Dylan, Joanna Newsom, Will Oldham, Neil Young, Ronnie Lane, Van Morrison, Charlie Patton, Joe Strummer, and many many more... We were and are always inspired by the mix tape stylings of mr Jim Bravo. Jim Bravo mixtapes are where it's at.

"Ethereal and soothing despite the inherent darkness of the subject matter. Powerful. It seems real, and honest. Important. And the instruments are quite grand indeed. What's not to like?" ~Brentley Gamble
