Born 1975 in Vientiane, Laos, Thao's family was forced to
leave Vietnam after the end of the war. Her family moved to
Germany where she grew up and started writing songs at
the age of 15. In 1999 Thao graduated from Musicians Institute
in Hollywood, CA, USA where she majored in guitar and
vocals. She has also worked as an A&R Manager from 2001- 2006.
Since 2007 Thao is mainly working as a composer for television
film projects. Her composition and arrangements can be heard in “How not to become shark bait” produced by
BBC. NBC "Dateline", "America's Most Wanted" on FOX, MSNBC "Kindness of strangers", Emmy Award nominated series ""Intervention" and many more.
