General
Check out my art webpage at http://shavahn.deviantart.com you can also check out zillions of other people's art as well! Anything art, animals, cooking, movies, cars (I'm best with the older ones) good conversation, outdoors, karaoke, traveling, and friends and family.
Music
I like all kinds of music, I dont have just one genre I stick to. The only one genre Im really not into is the newer rap. I like old school rap from the mid to late 80's and early 90's when it actually had a message and had something to say. Very few rap artists have any real messages these days. Its all about drugs, and guns, and cars and 'bitches and hoes' and how much money they have. Although, there are some out there that I can tolerate. Other than that my musical tastes run pretty wide. I like classic rock, some soft rock, alternarock, punk, def metal, jazz, classical, blues, bluegrass, funk, electrona, garage, techno, re-mixes, country, buttrock, hip hop, R & B, pop the list goes on...I pretty much like it all. :)
Movies
Gone with the Wind is my all-time favorite movie. I have literally sat and watched it repeatedly throughout my day when I have been home sick from work. I also like horror, thriller, psychological thrillers, comedy, biography, autobiographies, based on true stories, documentaries, fantasy, sci-fi fantasy, some sci-fi (I will admit this freely now) the OCCASIONAL chick flick or romantic comedy. But for the most part I LOVE horror and thriller movies. Not neccessarily the gorey bloody horror movies, but I do love those too. Even if I do cover my eyes when the blood and gore starts....
Television
I try not to watch TOO much tv anymore, but I love to watch Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, House, CSI, Law & Order,Cold Case Files, the news, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, That 70's Show, Dead Like Me, pretty much anything on The Bravo network, Behind the Music, The Learning Channel, The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, The History Channel, I love to learn. :)
Books
"Little Women". The Meredith and Anita series from Laurell K. Hamilton, "The Hobbit" Lord of the Rings; I don't really have any specific genre that I stick to. I read a little bit of everything. I really like this one series of fantasy/sci fi books by Robert Jordan, called The Wheel of Time, so far I think it's up to 11 or 12 books and he hasn't finished the series yet....
Heroes
I really really admire my mom. Even though we've had our disagreements, she raised me pretty much all on her own for my entire life, and I think she did a damn fine job. My "other mother" Jody (someone who Ive known most of my life) is also someone I admire, five crazy kids running around will drive anyone crazy, but not this lady, she's one of the most patient people I know. Also all those soldiers over across seas fighting to keep our country free.

So....this is where Im supposed to put something witty and profound about myself, eh? Well, as for profound, that's not going to happen. I might be able to pull off something witty however. *thinks* Yeah, witty isn't happening today.
Lets see...what CAN I put in here? I guess I could say a little bit about myself, and if you choose to read it, then you'll know something about me, if not, well, then you haven't even gotten this far have you? To those of you who do choose to read this, be prepared to be confused. I run in circles when I talk and often make no sense.
I'm a very artistic person with a big heart and an even bigger personality. I have a tendancy to get a little protective of my friends and am willing to do anything for them if it's within my power to do so.
I like art, music, dancing, cars, BOOKS, anime, outdoors activities, cooking, partying, playing pool, reading, writing, playing one of my two instruments, making fun of my friends, hanging out with them, drinking, challenging random people at bars to a drinking contest, karaoke, movies (love the kung-fu) and sitting in the dark thinking. I smoke (cigarettes only), I drink, I party hard, work hard and love ten times as hard. I'm not into jerks, assholes, or egotistical fucktards who think they're better than everyone else, and have less social grace than an ape. So if that's you, please move on. If not, hey, nice to meet you!
I'm straight forward and don't play games, if I don't like you I will simply tell you so. However, I will be civil to you, but it doesn't mean I want to be buddies with you. I am a very open person and love to experience new and interesting things, ideas and opinions. I like a wide genre of music, as well as people. I believe that the more people you know, the more fun you can have. Don't limit yourself to one group of people, hang out with everyone and get to know the world. You never know, you might actually like it.
I grew up in Spokane, Washington and since I turned 20, I have moved away three different times, and have moved back three different times. Seattle, Shreveport, Bossier City Louisiana, and currently Austin Texas. Trying to find where I belong in life is difficult, but Im getting there. Austin seems like a good place to spend some time. Who knows where I'll end up from there. So there you have it, me in a nutshell so to speak.
Who I'd like to meet: R.K. Milholland (writer of webcomic Something Positive) Scott Ramsoomair (writer of VGcats), many writers of many many books from classical literature to modern works. There are countless people that I want to meet, but unfortunately most of them are either dead, or it is highly unlikely that I will ever get to be in the same city as them let alone the same room.
Anyone really, people fascinate me. I would love to meet the people who had a hand in changing music; those who helped make it what it is today (although a lot of main stream stuff sucks these days), you know, all the good ones that are dead, John Lennon, Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, etc.
Also, Sigmund Freud, Einstien, M.C. Esher, Pablo Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Beethoven, Mozart... I could go on, but it would make for a very lengthy list.
Like I said, people fascinate me, and I'd like to have the chance to talk to anyone from any walk of life just so I can hear their experiences that I may not have experienced myself and maybe gain some knowledge from the roads they have traveled that I have not.
People who can hold an interesting conversation and not get weirded out by a moment of silence or two. I believe that if those little moments of silence aren't uncomfortable, then you are comfortable with the person you are talking with. Anyone with a good sense of humor (mainly people who will laugh at my lame jokes no matter how stupid), people who like animals (of all kinds) and likes to go do things.
*****Reader be warned: I'm an extremely active person and love to be out and about, Im rarely ever home, if you think you can keep up and have fun with me, then send me a msg! Hope to talk to you then!****** SEE THAT VIDEO DOWN THERE? I'M IN IT AND SO IS GREG! Check out Under the Gun: Gulf Coast Punk. Dennis, Scott and the gang are awesome!

yo yo, what up girl? How are things going? Maybe making a trip to Austin around october or so, checking things out, deciding where I want to relocate to.
I dunno. Probably nothing. Just gonna sit here and wait for Scott to get on. That's me and Sarah's day that we usually do something. The lake is always fun! No boats needed. We went out there last weekend for our boys goin away party. Had a grand time. Lot's of alcohol. GOOD TIMES!
Well arn't you lucky! I need a bar job so I don't have to sit at home. Gets boring. I need to clean house cause my friend from Ft Knox is coming in. I just really don't feel like doing it. I'm so not motivated..
