About me: Where to start? Well, I have been in Atlanta since September 1997 after a painful two year stint working in Birmingham, AL. Luckily I was able to attain a job offer in Atlanta and I'm still here today. I bought my current abode in Cabbagetown in June 2000 and the revitalization of the neighborhood since that date has been amazing. What else? Okay, things I hate/despise: the suburbs and the people that live there, bow-heads, people that smack their gum (see suburban people), idiotic/inconsiderate drivers (see suburban morons), hip hop and country music and the mentalities that surround them. I could probably keep going but that's enough for now. Things that pique my interest and that there should be more of include imported beer, open minds, indie music (I'm kind of an elitist when it comes to music), live shows, Hollis Gillespie and David Sedaris' musings, baseball (Go Cubs!), international travel and Texas Hold'em.
Who I'd like to meet: Hrmm. Midgets. Lots of midgets... Seriously though, I guess I would like to meet great people that live inside the wall who really understand what is going on in the world today. I have a great circle of friends whom I've known since college but everyone is starting to marry and subsequently procreate so their availability to get together is diminishing (and they're moving to the fu*king suburbs).
Although I must admit that Stephen Colbert is, and will always be, my hero.
