I keep seeing these ads on myspace that promise that their product can make you "ripped in only four weeks!" Of course, it's a lie, but the terrifyingly ripped models they use made me think of The Power Team for some reason. If you are unfamilar with The Power Team, I want to fill you in.

The Power Team is a group of body builders who lift weights in the name of Jesus. They came to the Metra and performed when I was like 4. My mom took me and I had no idea what the hell was going on. These guys would try to give inspirational messages, talk about Jesus, and then pick up a car while cheesy 80's electronic music played. It's just the most bizarre thing ever.

Here is a clip I found online. Please enjoy. Remember that this stuff is all being done "in the name of Jesus Christ."

My god, $700 for that? That chair looks like it might be worth...oh..$30...max. But you know how willing religious people are to hand over their hard earned pay in order to feel closer to god.  Actually, that chair reminds me of a big bird chair I had as a child, I wonder if there is a picture online....ah. Here it is. http://everystockphoto.s3.amazonaws.com/mischa_bird_chair_101903_l.jpg
If that jesus chair was small and plastic, they'd make so much money off of it.

Zachary Quinto just posted a myspace blog saying that he is running for Mr. Twitter. He's in second place right now, just behind the freaking emo guy who LOST american idol. Please help the cause and click on the little "+" sign on Zachary's picture. http://tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/usa/mr-twitter

That's funny. I just saw a new teaser for Transformers 2. It's one where they tell you it's the "number one movie in the country," which, honestly, means nothing. but they flashed a bunch of short reviews that said things like "A Masterpiece!" "Exciting!" and "A Triumph In American Film." I'd like to think those were taken out of context. "Exciting, if you happen to be deaf, blind, dumb, and or retarded!" "A masterpiece of crap!" and "A Triumph In American Film, The best movie since X3!" My favorite review of all time was for Shutter. It said "They got the title wrong. The first vowell is supposed to be an "I."

What? There was a Terminator 3? I thought that we just didn't talk about that. I haven't seen it since it first came out. I really need to watch it again. It is interesting to see what they can get away with when they are killing robots. On one of the commentaries on Batman Beyond, they talk about how much they loved doing robot episodes because they could get away with showing graphic dismemberment. Fun stuff.
