I like to play either SOLO or in a DUO. I've played in full bands but I prefer not being in one! A nice acoustic guitar is a must! I use the Yellow Folk Series guitar picks from Awe-in-one. They are absolutely the best! Their Web Site is: www.awe-in-one.com Check them out! I usually perform other people's songs but I've written some of my own, as well. I play at a local Winery every week-end in a DUO.
Hi Rhonda! Thanks for the message. Yesterday was SO much fun.. I hope all of us "chicks" get to do it again sometime. I'll look forward to seeing you and hearing you play again.
Hey there! You rock! I really enjoyed your performance at the Scottsdale Studio recording. You have an amazing energy and stage presence. Can't wait to see you again in March!
If you know of any young bands or solo performers that have been looking for a place to play on a big stage please pass the word! I’ll have a house drum set, great PA system with monitors, lots of stage lighting, guitar and bass amps, etc. The owner of The Cell Block also owns the all ages venue called UB’s in Mesa. He wants to use the open mic to discover new bands and book them at both clubs.
Having checked out your tracks, I must say that you have talent. Your voice is good and the level of playing is high.
You should in time put some of your own tracks on your profile and perhaps a video of you playing live. You never know who might be looking in.
As for us, our track...Keep it going England, did very well during last years World Cup Soccer competition. We managed a very good 3rd place in a nationwide poll organised by Channel 4, 'one of the big 5 media channels in England'. Also the Sunday Observer Review magazine said: 'Possibly the first ever Reggae celebration of the national game'. In the poll we beat many of the fancied runners, including Tony Christie, Crazy Frog and Embrace. The track is being re-mixed for the next big competition Euro 2008.
Good luck to you on future endeavours.
