Too many to mention. Everything from Peter Hammill/Van der Graaf Generator through to the Scorpions via Hawkwind, System of a Down. Pere Ubu. Zappa, Arthur Brown and Wild Man Fisher. Lets face it, there is a lot of music out there and it all gets into your skin and in your ears. Right now there is more live music than in a long time and no shortage of good stuff to listen to.
The band has members of The Last Post and the original Wooden Lion in it and has been playing some material from Dogwatch and The Last Post alongside newer songs, some written with Ex-Dogwatch bassist, Tony, 'Mr. Juan D'Erful' Morley, and others with the current line up. We gigged a lot during 2008, added new songs and made a lot of new friends.
At the end of 2008 we recorded some live tracks at the Bridge House II and rough mixes of these are on this site. We will be finishing the mixes over the next month and have been recording new songs for inclusion on a CD to be released this year.
Contact us via this site or the website if you want to go on our mailing list for details of upcoming shows.
There are more pictures of the new band and other bands our members were in as well as music downloads going back to Dogwatch and the Last Post on the website. Pictures of our recent shows will be here and on the website soon.
As a quick introduction. The Cardinal and I met up after a few years of inactivity and decided to do some more music together. We asked Steve Bensusan from the Last Post days to join us and he brought Chris Mott and Chris Cottage with him. Right now we are having a lot of fun playing and writing together.
The story continues on the blog and on the website.
Recording for the new CD is now finished and we are trying to find the time to mix it all down Multi-instrumentalist and good friend, Nick Pynn, has laid down some stunning violin on The Writing and Blank Moments and viola and Darren Reynolds has added bowed double bass on the latter track too.
Chris Mott dropped out of the band for a few shows due to work committments but Tony Morley stepped in at the last moment to play drums. We are trying to work out if we can fit around Chris' work and still do live shows. Watch this space.

Always a pleasure to mix both bands, and Jeanette provided a wonderful antidote to the raucousness that was to follow. BTW, Watchfield was 1975 Dogwatch was, for me, around 1979, 27 years ago it was 1982. I always thought you were one of those sound engineers who could count beyond one two.
Great gig! Nice to speak to you briefly too. Had to leave early again (public transport!), but will be heading to Inn On The Green on 01.08.09 and will be able to catch a full set for the first time! Looking forward to it. Will
