It is common for hip hop artist trying to break in the industry to attempt to compare themselves to the greats. Unlike these part time MC’s, “Tha Truth”, lives, breathes, eats, and sleeps hip-hop. “Tha Truth spits fiery lyrics not only about the streets of Atlanta, but also about his every day trials and tribulations. Raised on Gospel and Old school R & B, “Tha Truth’s” style is a far cry from the rowdy snap music played on the radio today. “Tha Truth”, is a signed, stamped, and certified “Grady Baby”. Hailing from the East side of Atlanta, he started freestyle rapping at the age of 16, battling MC’s city wide and earning the name and title “Tha Truth”. Shortly after, he began putting pen to paper and creating lyrical assaults that challenge today’s MC’s to either up their game or get run over by the freight train propelled by this silver tongued lyricist. In 2003, the now 20 year old artist was arrested in Florida for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The arrest brought his first solo album to a grinding halt. After fighting his legal troubles for a little over two years the artist beat the charges and is once again free to showcase his creativity. Upon returning to Atlanta, “Tha Truth” joined forces with producers C’Los " The Beat Man " of Its Ya Boi Production and “Twenty” of IGotemMusik. The Team began work on his second album tentatively named “Street Life Volume I, in late 2008.” The album features songs riddled with ingenious word play and, witty punch-lines, and the hot new single “Ain't Nobody Like I”. The street album is currently due to be released the first quarter of 2009.
