I live in Rock Island,Illinois. We're located next to the Mississippi river and on the opposite side of the state from Chicago. I work at a local FOX and CW affiliate as a master control operator, so I'm running two different stations at once while I'm there. I also write for an local alternative weekly newspaper(freelance, when I have time) and I used to host my own radio show at a local college from 2004-last August. I played mostly metal, anything "core", punk, alternative, stoner, ect. It's too bad I'm not still doing the show, 'cause I would've loved to throw your shit on the air. Last Wednesday night-right before you made your friend request-I had just got done checking out Psyopus. They had made a friend request a few days prior and normally I just approve bands like them right away, but their default pic looked trippy, so I decided to wait and check them out. Fast forward to Wednesday night, the acid started kicking in hard and they sounded crazy. I wrote them an email telling them how awesome they sounded and someone wrote me back telling me to put on headphones and enjoy. Maybe five minutes later I get the friend request from you guys and the mixture of the weird-looking NBC logo and your music was too much. I've been a conspiracy nut for a few years now, but I had tried watching MSNBC before I got on the computer and I came to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton is a robot, mainstream/corporate media are trying to control our thoughts and have told us who we can vote for(OBAMA). So I was already freaking out about NBC and jamming to unfamiliar grindcore. You can only imagine the horror I felt when I saw somone with the NBC logo seeking my friendship moments later. I thought they had "found me". Talk about perfect timing. But the music sounds great on acid. I hadn't done it in about 8 years and I was on two hits.
