About me: I write poems for bands and introduce those bands with those poems.This suits my aesthetic needs and bands and audiences enjoy it. A list of the one thousand or so bands I've read for is to your left beneath the frolicking white kitten.
I have a new book of poems called The Good Life designed by Jason Pickleman. It is available from Myopic Books,Quimby's, Permanent Records, Laurie'sPlanet of Sound. It is also available at Domy in Austin..My first book is available at amazon but it's expensive! A CD from 2004 of me reading about 60 band poems called "Where the Earth Might Roll To Next" is on itunes.
I also have a weird musical project, Chicken and the Chick Flicks recorded in Brooklyn in 2006-it consists of songs co-composed by myself and Matthew Mahlin and sung to a Yamaha DX-7 on a quarter tone setting and/or a normally tuned guitar. You can hear 4 of the 12 songs on the myspace page to be found in my top 40 friends.
Also on my Top 40 is Thax Douglas and Ernest Lohrer- on this page you can hear the entire record Ernie and I did called Relax with Poetry and Organ-ernie plays a Hammond organ-it's inspired by old fashioned AM radio religious broadcasts.

Who I'd like to meet: I believe love exists on a subatomic level outside of us-outside of life altho there'd be no life without it. So this is what I do, first of all as a fan-fanning the flames, but there's something more going on than that. On that subatomic level the communication is achieved on an abstract nonpersonal level that feels like freedom-which is why I remember bands clearly , or rather the way a band makes me feel, much more clearly than I remember the actual members of those bands. The glamor and excitement of those 45 or 90 minutes of a good show is something that can never be taken away from those that were there- in fact that building blocks of glamor and excitement are in evolutionary terms the genes, the viruses, the medieval fortress walled city of cells billions of which'll form the new animal that we will be embedded in as ancestry.
