Steven Rusling and Marc Cram started playing together last year. Steve is also in a band called The Sads. Marc is in a band called Blue Valentines and a solo project called Chudácek. They wanted to start a "folk" band. Steve wrote some good songs. They enjoyed working up happy bluegrass versions of depressing Leonard Cohen songs and writing about themselves in the third-person.
