About me:
My name is Corey, and I believe that no body should vote.
I am a somewhat recent convert to the anarchist/voluntaryist philosophy, and thus I believe voting is an unethical practice.
What is a voluntaryist?
Statement of Purpose: Voluntaryists are advocates of non-political, non-violent strategies to achieve a free society. We reject electoral politics, in theory and in practice, as incompatible with libertarian principles. Governments must cloak their actions in an aura of moral legitimacy in order to sustain their power, and political methods invariably strengthen that legitimacy. Voluntaryists seek instead to delegitimize the State through education, and we advocate withdrawal of the cooperation and tacit consent on which State power ultimately depends.
Politics
I am a registered Republican (because I voted for Ron Paul), but I am now a voluntaryist at heart and have no alliance to the political system. I have no qualms about supporting third-party and independent candidates because I also understand that while working within the system never brings about too much change, political campaigns are a great opportunity to introduce individuals to the ideas of liberty and freedom. The Ron Paul for President campaign is a great example of that idea; because of it many people, including myself, were introduced to libertarianism and from there followed it to the logical conclusion.
I am the moderator of the original and
"(un)official Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty" MySpace Group. I'm thinking about deleting it.
Radio and Alternative Media
I am the host of a show called
Atlas Radio on the
Oracle Broadcasting Network. The show is on every Saturday morning at 10am ET, and you can catch the podcasts about an hour after the show ends (1pm ET) if you follow
this link.
In the short time this show has been on the air, myself and my current co-host,
Hank Xavier, have interviewed such names as noted anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, former Presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party Michael Badnarik, alternative podcaster Meria Heller, anarchist philosopher Stefan Molyneux, Free State Project participant Sam Dodson, underground libertarian hip-hop giant King Solomon, and congressional candidate from New Mexico Adam Kokesh.
I also am an Executive Partner of Atlas Media Online, a collaborative organization dedicated to free speech, factual news, quality entertainment, and truth. A publishing house for many types of content, including radio shows, television programs and a 'zine called "The Shrug", AMO is an up-and-coming alternative media force.
Web Development
I do web design/development work (my company is a subsidiary of my media organization,
Atlas Media Onine. If you are interested in my services, please check out that link or email me at cizzle@atlasmediaonline.com
Who I'd like to meet:
I want to meet people who
care about people as much as I do; people who are willing to
step up and help
educate instead of sitting back and watch the rest of us do the work; people who are
fun to be around; people who
love real hip-hop; people on
Twitter,
Facebook, and
Digg; people who are interested in
excellent web design at a fair price.
