Music (Damn near anything that requires the playing of an instrument. Rap and most R&B only requires you talk fast or push buttons on a mixer, so they don't qualify.), Listening to and playing my guitar. Singing Karaoke is one of my biggest thrills that I haven't done in a long while. If I could find a backup band... I also miss DJing the Country Bars in North Carolina, but I hope to jump back into it a bit in the future.
Sports:

SLEDDING is where I get my winter enjoyment. We usually go to places where no one else has. The SUMMER is for Camping and Fishing.
Music
Rock: KISS, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Nickelback, TOOL, Fuel, 30 Seconds To Mars, Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, Cold, Flogging Molly, Hurt, Sunset Black, Black Tide, Sloth, Closure, Katatonia, Sonata Arctica, Lacuna Coil, One Less Reason, Ra, Evergrey, Staind, 3 Doors Down, Del Amitri, Apocalyptica, and so many bands that you have probably never heard of. I'm also a big fan of the "of little historical importance" 80's hair metal bands like Ratt, Hurricane, Y&T, Danger Danger, Steelheart, etc.
Country: George Strait, Hank Jr., Gary Allan, CDB, Big & Rich, Tracy Lawrence, and a huge stack of the classic country artists. Lately, Country is getting too poppy, so I've been mostly listening to KBear 101.5 and Arrow 107.1.
Love the Blues: Elmore James, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix (yes he did a Blues album), Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Robert Johnson, etc. ..
Admittedly, Paul Potts stirred my interest in Opera.

Movies
My favorite movies are many: The Godfather Collection, Last of the Mohicans, Boondock Saints, The Kevin Smith Jersey Collection, The Exorcist I and III, Pride of the Yankees (1942), Office Space, Stigmata, Pink Floyd: The Wall, 2001 and 2010 (love ya HAL), Almost Famous, The Outsiders, Donnie Darko, Rock Star, and quite a few different types of horror movies. Slasher movies can be boring, but the ones that make every dark corner of the house uncomfortable are awesome.
..Television
The Sopranos (finis), Farscape (cancelled), Criminal Minds, CSI - all of them, House M.D., Dexter, Scrubs, Discovery and Science Channels, and I could watch Spike TV all night.
..
HouseismsBooks
I like reading anything that someone else isn't. Best sellers mean as much to me as the Grammy Awards. Hell, Jethro Tull won the first Heavy Metal Grammy. I have always been a huge Stephen King and Dean R. Koontz reader, but I like a lot of the classics (Thoreau, Whitman, Poe, Hemingway), sports biographies, and science and astronomy books by authors like Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, and Michael Shermer.
..
Currently reading:

Heroes
Calling people heroes is over-phrased, but these characters are unmatched:
Dr. Michael Shermer - Skeptics Society
TEDTalks : Michael Shermer
Richard Dawkins - Oxford professor
richard dawkins
Lou Gehrig and my Uncle Wayne, both unwaivered & proud till the days that ALS took them from us. And then the brilliant Stephen Hawking who has defied all odds by surviving ALS for now 45 years, since his initial diagnoses, while bettering our understanding of the universe in SO many ways.
Lou Gehrig Farewell Speech
Harmon Killebrew - Homerun King/MLB HOF '84 from Payette, Idaho;

About me:
..So, I'm Jason. I currently live in Idaho Falls, where I was born and raised...and then I left...for the Army. I like to think that my 8 years in the Army and 4 more as a government contractor are what really molded me into who I am. You can only learn so much about the world while living in Idaho, but I've learned quite a bit about the right and wrongs of life from many different people and cultures. It also helped me to see who I wanted to be. You take something from everyone you meet - good or bad. I'm one that can get along with just about anyone (to a point), but I'm fairly set in my ways. I always seem to find ways to keep myself busy, and am not bored very often. I'm kind of an oddity, I think.
IMAGINE IF YOU WILL: Taking a mixing bowl of personality; you toss in a few cups of METALHEAD, a 1/2 cup of COUNTRY, a bottle of SPORTSNUT, a dash of EVERYTHING IN THE SPICE RACK from SPIDERMAN to POKERSTARS, and an ass-load of SKEPTICISM and STARVATION FOR KNOWLEDGE.
I'm a database of useless knowledge, and especially music and movies. "Who did that song..." is usually my forte, unless it's hip hop or rap.
Since I've been back in I.F, it's been difficult to find my niche. Throughout my time in the Army, I always had the fellas around to hang with. It's strange to go from a community celebrity as a Club DJ, and Radio/TV personality, to just part of the backdrop.
If you have any questions, feel free.
Who I'd like to meet:
Dating?: If I change this to say that I'm not looking, will there be anyone contacting me now? It's like the time I bought a cheap wedding ring at WalMart to play a trick on an ex, and ended up getting more interest from the other girls at the bar than I expected. Act available, get ignored. Act disinterested or taken, get inquiries. Strange.Historical people that I would like to sit down with?: Carl Sagan was a brilliant mind, and I wish I could have known him.
Mickey Mantle - I wish I could have met The Mick.
I will always be a huge fan of Eric Carr (a.k.a. Paul Caravello) from KISS. That guy understood fan appreciation and was possibly their most musically talented member - No offense Gene. (See MY jacket that was ERIC's jacket in my pics, which I bought from Paul's sister. It's AWESOME!!)
Just one more day with my gramps... He passed away while I was in North Carolina.
