What's goin' on The 19 Curses? The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes. Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening.
As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. Transistors bridge where your vanity would never go. Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas.
What's goin' on The? Your intoxicating reflection can but incorporate freely into the powerful surface of a disintegrating mirror set afloat upon a swarm of locusts. Your essence is equal to the beauty of a galaxy. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. How can I help but use your eyes as a means for self-asphyxiation? Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes. Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. May you be as vivid as your hallucinations. I desire to see life through your hallucinations so that they massage my viscera into an eternal state of turgid flux. I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. I love your eyes, I know they can stare through my thoughts. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops.
hi! when should your public be expecting some more music? i love the 19 curses. i really do. they're rad as hell. i've got a batch of new stuff on the myspace, check it out some time! you might dig some of it.
Hi, how's it going? I'm enjoying the new EP very much, especially Music To My Ears: it's a moment worthy of JD when that line comes up, and the backing track's cool. But I must admit that Teenage Destruction's made more of an impression on me, probably partly because of its length, but also there are some amazing songs. I've been listening to it a lot, and I've even tried to figure out how to play I'm Playing In A Punk Band and Our Lady Of Lourdes, two of my favourites. It's ridiculous, but I find it really difficult to strum the rhythm you use. It just doesn't come naturally to me. Also, I couldn't work out all the lyrics of the former. If you could fill in the blanks and correct any mistakes I'd be very grateful:
Now I have slaughtered Christ, and sacrificed virgins, Obsessed by the ghost of ??? ???, ??? ??? ??? ??? choruses and verses, Twenty punk classics by The 19 Curses, And I know...
Do you ever play live shows? You should. And I get the impression that you're no longer very keen on Teenage Destruction, which is sad. Is that true? I mean, it's common for artists to prefer their newer work to their older stuff, probably because distance allows more room for criticism, but for me parts of Teenage Destruction are classic stuff that can never be criticised away.
I too have a new record out, a joint 12" with my good friend The Black Maria Memorial Fund. My friends and my mother and I have spent many long hours making blue velvet sleeves for it, and it looks gorgeous. I'll post you a copy.
I've downloaded Teenage Destruction and Very Lights/Acacia Horrida and they're both sounding awesome, not that I've listened to them much yet. AWMP and Our Lady Of Lourdes have jumped out at me.
Glad you like my stuff. I don't think I've sent you a copy of the album yet. If you'd like one, just send me your postal address. It's free!
But don't you owe me a mix CD? Apologies if you've sent it, but it's not reached me yet...
The Magnetic Fields, the Mountain Goats, Guided By Voices, The Auteurs, The Capstan Shafts, R. Stevie Moore, Desperate Bicycles, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Momus, Billy Childish, The Beautiful South
