2009 has seen the culmination of the third phase in the life of The 3rd Fire with the release of a diverse set of free downloads on the exciting new label mrsvee recordings. ‘You Will Die For Your Revolution’ collected together a broader range of tracks from across the ambient spectrum, whilst ‘Creeping Loneliness (Mixed Messages)’ focused on the heavy drone that characterised the early phases of The 3rd Fire; these were shortly followed by ‘What Lies Below’, a fascinating and haunting collaboration with fellow mrsvee artist Electronica Ghost Voice Phenomena. The finishing touch is the thundering dirge of the 'Reality EP’, three tracks of rumbling bass and searing distortion held together with subtle touches of playful experimentation and improvisation.
The 3rd Fire was formed back in April 2005, the discovery of drone, ambient and electronic music made an immediate impact and opened the door to a whole new way of making music; mixed with a love of all things progressive and extreme, it made for an interesting and unique cocktail of guitar-led music. Following on from a couple of CDR demo releases, Phase II began with the release of ‘Trapped: The Imprisonment Of The Mind’; based on the recordings done in the first two days of The 3rd Fire's existence, it is a study in the use of minimalistic sounds and variations to create an intense and disturbing environment. This was quickly followed by three further downloadable mini albums, culminating in the monolithic ‘Aural Terrorism’. After an intense period of writing and recording at the beginning of 2008, summer was ushered in with the ‘Warnings...’ double album, a massive collection of both the new and the old and brimming with the weird and the wonderful; a dark and twisted journey through the realms of ambient, drone, krautrock and dance, a complex mix that takes every listener somewhere different.

The tracks on the album don't belong to one style (all music is electronic and experimental, though) – there's things of dub with kraut-rock bias, Eno-ish instrumentals, glitch, downtempo, dark-ambient, house and more.
