Please revive John Kerry's S. 1880, H.R. 3219, and H.R. 3327 (the Dog Fighting Prohibition Act and the Federal Dog Protection Act) by strengthen the penalties for illegal dog fighting and also prohibit the knowing attendance of dogfights.~~ Remember this law will also target gang activities as these criminals often use pit bulls for dog fighting, and weapons against the police and to guard crack/crank houses.
JULY 2009-we seen the LARGEST dog fighting ring ever in the history of humankind right in the United States. So far, 500 pit bulls were confiscated from such rings;
"The number of dogs being sheltered in St. Louis following raids in Illinois and Missouri last week now stands at 407, including 14 born since the raids...An additional 70 to 100 dogs were seized in Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Iowa and Nebraska, bringing the total to roughly 500 dogs in the largest dogfighting seizure in U.S. history."
