The 5 Spot is a perfect place for music fans to relax, hang out with friends, and listen to quality, live music. We are 21+ all the time and there is no exceptions.
We have all types of music, but mainly just the good stuff. Come in for some beers, a cocktail or 3, an awesome sandwich, some billiards, darts, and stay for the live music. Most shows are $5 with the occasional higher door cost.

“TAP YOUR FOOT” welcomes Susan Shann from 7-9pm on Tuesday, July 14 , 2009 at The 5 Spot, 1006 Forrest Avenue and Main Street in East Nashville. This event benefits Tennessee Alliance for Progress, with Susan Shann and the Shelby Bottom String Band. This is a non-smoking event. Proceeds will benefit TAP. Admission on a sliding scale: $5 to $15. (Give what you can for a good cause!) “TAP YOUR FOOT” is held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at The 5 Spot.
Susan Shann combines skillfully crafted pop / rock grooves and melodies with strong vocals and thoughtful lyrics. The result is a dynamic blend of musical textures and themes that will captivate the listener, and leave them wanting more. She was invited to perform as half of a duo with partner Gary Gullbergh for the annual 2005 Tin Pan South festivities and she just released her second album, “Illumination”. Susan is also the host of Earth Revolution on Channel 19.
The Shelby Bottom String Band (Nell Levin, Michael August, Holly Tashian, Bob Mason, Gene Bush and Dave Thomas) cook up old and new songs including some quirky Americana gems -- all served with down-home charm.
