We started playing together in 2004, and we're making progress. So far we've recorded an 11-track album in a disused church in Leeds buy it at gigs or online from www.boomkat.com And a load of gigs of course. We've made it as far and as wide as Glasgow, Brighton and Bristol. We want to go all over the land. We also intend to go further. Like to sea.
We Improvise! That's what we do. We make tunes inside which to improvise, or just start from nothing. We also compose. We've got a wide variety of influences, because we're all from different musical backgrounds - contemporary classical, folk, jazz, free improv, punk and just plain odd - but we find mutual ground through listening to each other, and making it up as we go along.
You can listen to our live January Resonance FM session at http://www.dexterbentley.com/hellogoodbye.htm. We've done soundtracks to a couple of films, and are very eager to do more, so if you've made a film that needs music... Also, we love doing gigs. Ask us and we will come!
Non-myspacers can e-mail us on 7hertz@mail.com
We did a 9-date UK tour in October 06, and a 6-date collaborative tour with Rose Kemp in February 07. Thanks to all the people who put us on or came to see us. We're also collaborating with David Thomas Broughton, and have an album coming out in Spain, released by Acuarela.
YOU are one of my topfriends this month! and you know why? apart from that I really like your music... there is something else.Take a look at my topfriends...
Moose Factory would like to support you and help promote your upcoming gigs. We can do this by reviewing a track/album and uploading an example on our site and possibly reviewing a live show (if we're invited;)). If you'd like this to happen, please send us something to moosefactoryuk@googlemail.com or 223 Ramsay Road, London, E7 9ES. Cheers.
Currently Sweden's hottest export, THOSE DANCING DAYS combine "Sweet as apple-pie pop" with a devilishly sassy Northern Soul and it's this unique combination that has the got the whole of the UK falling over itself and for good reason too!
The subtle dynamics in their songwriting of JOHN and JEHN and the balance between chaos and beauty and the mastery of heartbreaking melodies Expect beautifully skewed hymns in the key of Serge Gainsbourg. http://www. myspace. com/johnjehn
Wakefield's THE RESEARCH are makers of fun, but also write songs that are like punches in the stomach that knock the wind out of you but afterwards you agree that you feel much better for it. www. myspace. com/theresearch
