About 83 Bullets
In 1979, USS Waddell (DDG-24) Navy shipmates Bill Spencer (vocals & guitar), Rich Golby (lead guitar), John Andrews (drums) & Geoff Robinson (bass) formed a band in Port Orchard, Washington. They started out playing kegger parties for shipmates as well as locals at the infamous Port Orchard band house known as the Fillmore Northwest.....
In the years to follow, there would be many band name and personnel changes. Bass player Geoff Robinson would leave to pursue his passion for lead guitar, eventually forming Blood Circus, one the grunge-rock trail-blazers and early Sub-Pop recording artists of the late ‘80s.....
In 1983, the band moved to Bremerton, Washington. After many experiments with singers and bass players, The 83 Bullets (originally known as The Bullets) finally found the right mix of personnel, adding lead singer Lori Fleming and bassist Corry Brown, fine-tuned their power-pop sound and headed into the studio to record “Forever In My Dreams (Do It Again)”. It would be their only studio effort as the band parted ways shortly thereafter.....
24 years later, while rummaging through old tapes that had traveled from Bremerton to Chicago to Seattle to the Carolinas, Bill unearthed a sealed studio copy of “Forever In My Dreams (Do It Again)”, digitized it and uploaded it to a variety of digital music services including iTunes, and ASCAP’s Nimbit.....
This recording is a one-of-a-kind collectable that captures the power-pop sound of the early ‘80s. Whether you’re a collector or simply a fan of high energy pop-rock, this is a recording you’ll want to have in your digital library...
Recorded 1983 HARC Studios, Port Orchard.
