The DGB is a high-energy rock and roll band. Explosive fury and danger
and a raw uplifting power that makes the room come alive. It's all
about attitude and keeping it real. The power and emotion of 90’s
rockers such as Nirvana or the Smashing Pumpkins, crossed with the
bluesy rock and roll of Led Zeppelin or the Who. Powerful, sing along
alt-rock choruses, danceable rock and roll rhythms, a bit of a punk
edge, and fresh sounding modern vocals.
The DGB started up in 2001, playing off the wall acoustic drone rock.
Over the years and albums since, a transformation was happening. The
sound got louder, the songs got catchier, and the crowds got crazier.
All that led to “Victory Song”, the bands 5th full length album, and a
new beginning. The band went into the studio knowing exactly what they
wanted, and came out getting exactly that. Radio quality, but not too
polished. The record still has the live sound that makes the songs so
powerful.
In 2008, the group toured to the East Coast of Canada and back, and
played tonnes of shows around Ontario and Quebec. This year, the band
will be touring to both coasts of this fine country, and plan to hit
every major city in Canada (and some small towns too). The record will
have worldwide distribution through CD Baby and their many affiliates
and the band will be getting the word out any way possible; shows,
press, radio, web, and all means necessary. We plan to make 2009 a
victorious year for the DGB.
