The epitome of rock and roll: dangerous, explosive fury and an exciting, high energy performance that makes the room come alive. The rawness and emotion of 90s rockers such as Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins, crossed with the bluesy rock and roll of Led Zeppelin or the Who, and the drive of stoner rock groups like Soundgarden or Kyuss. Powerful, sing along alt-rock choruses, danceable rock and roll rhythms, a bit of a punk edge, and fresh sounding modern vocals.
The DGB started up in 2001, as two brothers playing off-the-wall acoustic drone rock. It was an artsy, very lyrically oriented project. As the musical bond between brothers grew and the direction changed, a new appreciation for pop sensibilities, and a need for loud rock and roll took over. The Greers have now been performing live together for almost 10 years, and the connection shows. The love/hate of a brotherly relationship, mixed with alcohol and rock and roll, makes for an extremely captivating live performance.
In 2009, The DGB released their fifth album “Victory Song”, and have taken their shows and promotion to the next level. They performed well over a hundred live shows across Canada, stretching from Halifax to Vancouver, and have been getting attention from independent media and college radio. Coming into 2010, the band that never rests is putting together more tours and planning festival stops. “Victory Song” is available worldwide thanks to CD Baby and its many affiliates.
