About me:

From Harm to Home

We are the International Rescue Committee ? a critical global network of first responders, humanitarian relief workers, healthcare providers, educators, community leaders, activists, and volunteers. Working together, we provide access to safety, sanctuary, and sustainable change for millions of people whose lives have been shattered by violence and oppression. See this film, and be moved to action!

The International Rescue Committee is proud to work in association with Participant Productions for their release of The Kite Runner and its social action campaign to support our education programs in Afghanistan.

Hello Friends:

Thanks to many of you our documentary Hope for Uganda has been seen by over 3600 people since going online about 4 months ago. As a result, we've heard that around 30 children have been sponsored and several thousand US dollars have been raised to help in Northern Uganda. It's a good start.

In September on MySpace, we'd like to honor those of you who have already contributed to the promotion of this documentary (Or any of our other short videos) by either:

1.)Making us one of your top 40 displayed friends
2.)embedding the video on your MySpace page or website
3.)Promoting the film in other avenues

If you have done any of the above, we'd like to know so that we can honor you on our page and also help to promote the work you are doing as well. Let us know! Thanks!

Thanks for being our friend! One thing you can do to help the fight against global poverty is watch this video on the UN Millennium Declaration and pass it along to your friends. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vddX4n30sXY

Even better, you could embed this code into your myspace page and really spread the word!

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vddX4n30sXY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vddX4n30sXY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

We can end poverty in our generation, it is possible and it is happening.

The same stream of life that runs through your veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures. It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth in numberless blades of grass, and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers. It is the same life that is rocked in this community through your support that is important.
I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life. And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment."

Love alone can unite living beings so as to complete and fulfill them... for it alone joins them by what is deepest in themselves. All we need is to imagine our ability to love developing until it embraces the totality of men and the earth. You have developed that Kind of love and many will live to appreciate it my friend. You have infact deepened the sense of that love.

The first peace, which is the most important,
is that which comes from within the souls of people
when they realize that their relationship with others, not near but those who are unreachable...
Their oneness with the universe and all its powers,
and when they realize that at the center of the universe,
dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center
is really everywhere...
For, It is within each of us.

Everything in the universe has a vibration, including our thoughts. . We create EVERYTHING that shows up in our lives. Our thoughts are our creative power. . By the Law of Attraction, the universe is always matching the vibrational signal we're offering. . Our feelings are our Internal Guidance System letting us know when we should change what we're focusing on. When we truly understand how this works and start consciously creating what's showing up in our lives, we will be amazed at what we're capable of. That's when life becomes a constant miracle.

What kind of vibration are you? Are you a positive thinker, is our thinking with any impact? If You
