About me:

Hi, I am Raychul and welcome to one of my little spots on the web. Gaming is my life, I live and breath for the gaming industry and I bet I can qoute more lines from Star Wars than you can.

Many say my personality is one of a cute and bubbly schoolgirl yet with a dark sense of humor and an interest in the macabre. I am a very open-minded person and things most people find disturbing, I usually find intriguing.

I work in the gaming industry on the press side of things and I have been lucky enough to have been doing this for almost five years. Currently, I am the lead writer and site manager of GamePro's GameGirl.com and I am also a freelance writer.

Writing is not my only outlet of gaming coverage, I am also part three podcasts, two of them which are recorded live each week. You can catch me on Modays at 6pm PST over at AllGames.com where I co-host the live podcast, GameTopia.

What I Do:

I am a writer for several different gaming sites and my work has been published in many different magazines. I am also a video host/correspondent, having covered gaming events for several different websites in the video game industry and TV shows such as the Late Show with Jay Leno. On-camera work is my true passion and I love to be able to combine that work with video game related projects.

I also do a bi-weekly web-show with my boyfriend, Dan Hsu, called "Cut Scene" over at GameCinemaHD.com

Hobbies:

I have very few hobbies outside of gaming, horror films being the main one. I have a passion for any type of horror movie; from campy-slasher films to edgy-gore-fests to zombie massacres. I can go head-to-head with anyone claiming to be a horror expert. I also have a weakness for collecting action figures and movie or game related toys. My apartment is bursting with Star Wars collectables, God of War and Gears of War action figures, and even a large amount of horror movie monster dolls.

I have also done a fair share of modeling in the past, although I consider my modeling experience more of a hobby than a career. It's definitely a lot of fun, but it's not a full-time passion.

My Gaming Life:

I do not consider myself one type of gamer, I play a little bit of everything and a lot of anything. The genres I tend to favor are Action/Adventure games (God of War, GTA, Prince of Persia, Uncharted) and Survival Horror (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame). I also love Arcade Racing games (Midnight Club, Burnout), Shooters (Time Splitters, BioShock, Gears of War), and the hack n slash style of RPG's (Champions of Norrath, Phantasy Star Online, Fable). Naturally, I am also a big fan of the casual style of games such as any type of Simulation game (the Sims, Animal Crossing) and platform titles (Super Mario, Spyro).
