Personally, my preferences are:
* METAL (heavy, thrash, black, extreme ... )
* BLUES
* 'CLASSIC ROCK'
And I listen to music in other genres too:
* Jazz & Classical (If I listen to radio at all, it's likelty to be classical music, or Jazz). For rock, it's CD's and other media -- rock radio sucks ass.
* Cool Country & Western (Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakum, Steve Earle, Hank Williams, and there are a few others ... ) -- mainly on CD's.
* Despite very little actual turntable or CD-player time, I still have albums by artists in rap, reggae, R & B, folk, vocal pop, and other genres ... none of which I'm inclined to get rid of.
But no techno, disco, boy bands, pop-divas, or 'politically correct' stuff, please.

I don't have time to watch much TV. I make my own TV shows. It's a hobby of mine. Alex Jones and I use the same studio and occasionally bounce ideas off each other.
I host FRONTIERS, a cutting edge 'talk' show. Picks up about where The McLaughlin Group leaves off.
I also produce 'rock videos' of Coll Bands' in Austin, TX from time to time. Hi The Eagle, Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others.
This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out.
