About me:
The Consortium was established in 1993 opening as an independently owned skate store in Bournemouth on the UK's south coast.
Over the years the store has evolved as we have grown, continually reflecting our personal interests and tastes, always contemporary whilst remaining loyal to our skate heritage.
The Consortium Bar and Club opened it's doors in February 2001 providing Bournemouth a much needed alternative to the mass of commercial chain owned clubs that dominate the town.
We have been and continue to be instrumental in offering the area the freshest new and big names from throughout the independent music scene, as well as screening skate, surf and bmx premiers.
Both The Consortium Store and The Consortium Bar and Club are currently closed while they undergoe exciting and extensive refurbishment. However our online store is uneffected and currently offers free U.K. delivery on all orders. The Consortium Store currently stocks a large selection of brands and products including clothing from 10.Deep, A.IN.T, Cahartt, Diamond Supply Co., Edwin, Mishka, Obey, Rogue Status, RVCA, Tonite, Volcom, WESC and Zoo York. Footwear by Adidas Skate, Nike SB, Pointer, Supra and Vans. Skate hardwear from brands including Death, Landscape and Heroin, Independent, Shortys, Venture, Diamond Supply Co.. Accessories such as Eastpak bags, New Era caps and Nixon watches. Paint and artist supplies including Montana Hardcore and Montana Alien.
Our aim with the online store on our website is to offer you choice selected product from our current stock. New stock will be continually added so please join the mailing list on our website for news of releases, exclusives and offers. Also please be aware that what is shown on the site is only a fraction of what is carried in-store, if there is something that you're after that is not shown on our site please contact us and we will do our best to help you. Although The Consortium Store is currently closed for refurbishment we are due to reopen early in 2009. Our web store is online and we are offering free U.K. delivery on all orders.

As well as working with some of the biggest names around we actively support local artists, bands and DJs.
We maintain a close working relationship with Bournemouth's Art Institute hosting art exhibits, fashion shows, parties and fund raisers.
