Hey, The New Current is a student media website that aims at giving students the best opportunity of working within all sorts of media. From reviews, interviews, event reviews & promotion The New Current is unique in what it aims to do. This is and will always be FREE for people to join for for them to have their music/events reviewed and promoted.
We know how hard it can be for bands to get promoted on student media's and that's why were set this up, to give anyone and everyone the chance to get their music, thoughts, events, abd gigs up on a dedicated website.
ANYONE can get involved in The-Current simply drop us a line and let us know what you want to do: Emails coming soon!
This is a short note about our new myspace and we hope that you all are going to be happy here in your new student zone.
The Current aims to work alongside many student radio stations here in the UK to further the listenership of some of the best music we have found around the UK and world.
We are based in the UK, and we will travel from Lands' End to John O'Groats to gather interviews, live sets and much more
We want to create a fresh new unique playlist and we want you to email your MP3's and next week we hope to upload a new sound for 2008:

This is our singer Eric, all by himself - playing "Interstate Love Song" by Stone Temple Pilots. If you like it - be sure to share it with people - it's a fun acoustic version of the song! :) The code is at the end of the song!
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Hi guys, we looking for gigs at any cool blues/rock clubs you might
