Movies
None of us really agree on movies, apart from the fact we think over half of the ones out there suck out loud. And we disagree which ones those are.
Television
Well, Battlestar Galactica is coming but until new episodes we're watching Stargate: Atlantis, Heroes (most of us), Chuck (some of us), Supernatural (some of us) and others. We also tend to take a look back on when shows were good or had excellent eye candy. And... Eliza Dushku has a new show. Let us rejoice!
Books
Does reading the close captioning count? That needs to be on most of the time so we can enjoy the show while talking over it. Oh yeah, we have some members in a book club, too... and some of us write (currently or in the past) and read fan fiction.
Heroes
Anyone who creates an awesome sci-fi show and knows when to stop before the show starts to suck. That is a very short list, my friends. Also, Carla... who's writing this right now (just seeing how long it takes the others to notice).
About me: We're a Minneapolis/St. Paul (Minnesota) group that has a love/hate relationship with all things sci-fi and well, TV and movies in general. We started as a Farscape watching group morphing into an angry "why did Sci-Fi cancel that?" group sometime later. After that, we turned into a multiple-headed monster that runs in different directions when it sees something shiny. Just kidding. Maybe.
Seriously, we tend to get together to watch the craptacular shows/movies on the Sci-Fi Channel weekly, watch crappy shows on other crappy networks and maybe watch something that's actually good. We also attend a couple conventions a year.
