The Problem is Choice's Interests
|
| General | I love it when someone goes "huh?". That's just neat, especially when you can make them do it. Not "huh" in a bad way, but you just make them think a little. Not that I do that. I don't think. Promise.
The usual: art, photography, music, and reading. I also have an addiction to oxygen and Guinness. | | Music |
| | Movies | Oppenheimer, Wrist Cutters, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, No Country for Old Men, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Blood Diamond, Immortal Beloved, Snatch, Million Dollar Baby, The Lover, Omega Man, Andromeda Strain, Superman, Superman 2, There Will Be Blood, Independence Day, The Crow, The Animatrix, Ghost in the Shell, Blue Thunder, I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With, High Fidelity, Juno, The Mist, Freedom Writers, American History X, Goodfellas, Shawshank Redemption, Dodgeball, American Psycho (for the story/acting), Lost In Translation, Comic Book: The Movie, Office Space, The Princess and The Warrior, Secretary, Requiem for a Dream, Don't, Mi Vida Loca, Memento, Pi: Faith In Chaos, The Omega Man, The Life Aquatic, The Equation, Rushmore. If the movie has "star" or "matrix" or is based on a comic, then i've prolly seen it and love it. i lurved Amelie, Forrest Gump, and Shopgirl, too. I really don't see movies a whole lot. Bastards. others would include..."the last temptation of christ", "american beauty", "2001", "blade runner", and you get the idea...Wings of Desire, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Napoleon Dynamite, Batman Begins. Logan's Run, Soylent Green, The OG Planet of the Apes. | | Television | I am hardly home and I don't own cable, so I rarely watch TV, but...King of the Hill, Chappelle, The Sarah Silverman Show, 24, Six Feet Under, MST3000!, Six Feet Under, LOST, House, Seinfeld, I Love Lucy, X-Files, Stella, Leave It To Beaver, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, The "Mission: Impossible" TV series (early 70's), Robotech, Old School Anime: Battle of the Planets, Gunship Yanomamo; The Super-Friends on DVD, The Venture Bros., Smallville, PBS, Public Access, and YouTube. Oh, and football. Me gusta football. Especialmente, los Cleveland Browns. | | Books | Planetary, The Love, The Story of O, The Killing Joke, Arkham Asylum, Bendis!, Nexus (Baron/Rude) via Capital Comics, Astro City: Life In The Big City, Transmetropolitan, The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore; Revisiting philosophers such as: Kung, Habermas, Zizek, Bauer, Derrida; Moore, Gaiman: The Kindly Ones (an EPIC series), Global Frequency, The Watchmen, The Authority, Batman: Year One, A Parallel Dimension, The Origin of Emotion, Reefer Madness, On Language and Thought (Chomsky), Scientific American (the rag), Philosophy Today (sometimes), The Holographic Universe (again), God and the New Physics, The Tao of Pooh, ABZ (Shel Silverstein), Comic Book Nation, Being and Nothingnes, The Dancing Wu-Li Masters, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Is Science Necessary?, Fuzzy Logic, The Rebel (Camus), The Stranger, Crime and Punishment, Notes from Underground, The Grand Inquisitor, To Have and To Be, The Art of Loving, The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness, Escape From Freedom, Man's Search for Meaning, The Narnia Chronicles, The Last Temptation of Christ, Metamorphosis, The Trial, The Lover, Sons and Lovers, Story of O, Where The Sidewalk Ends, The Devil's Dictionary, The Sherlock Holmes Collection, Hope For The Flowers, Goodnight Moon, I Love You Forever, too many comics, and most of Shakespeare, Hegel, Husserl, Heidegger, Schopenhauer, Wittgenstein, Kant and Descartes. I can't remember the rest right now. Oh, wait, and pretty much any comic I can get my hands on. Wikipedia, too. I know it isn't a book, but it's great. | | Heroes | People who love, no matter what.
All of them.
And the 1%.
You know who you are.
You know who you are. |

I've done two spots for the California Teachers Association. They were on the radio. I also tried out for Deathstroke for Teen Titans. Didn't get that. Darn.

The Problem is Choice's Blurbs |
About me:
Carbon-based in this dimension, yet in-tune with the other myriad levels of existence through the focus of vibrational frequencies that resonate around us.
Ok, I am not even sure what that meant.
...
I tend to be a very strange "pattern recognition filter"...meaning I notice very small things...even the things that one may gloss over. I have always been this way. Perhaps too much Richard Blade when I was a kid. The best approximation that I can come up with would be that guy from Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Not the hunky one that gets all the ladies and tends to be a fool, otherwise. Nope. The other one...Vincent D'Onofrio's character.

Who I'd like to meet:
Life is a joke. Not a bad joke, mind you, but just a joke. It's humor as well as offensive and utterly neutral in it's telling. It can bring joy as well as violate your sensibilities.
It's the meaning we perceive and intend in that joke that gives us our life.
So, that means pretty much no one. Uh. I guess.
If you'd like to chat, I'm on AIM @ existentialhope.
I enjoy a GOOD conversation. :)
