About me: I havent updated this in ages...kind of lost interest in Myspace as I've figured it out it isnt the answer to what I'm looking for in life, so I spend more time in the real world now lol.
Before I start a message to bands. PLEASE DO NOT PERSIST IN TRYING TO ADD ME...I'VE PUT THE BLOCK ON FOR A REASON. GOOD LUCK TO YOU IN YOUR MUSIC CAREERS BUT I'M NOT INTERSTED IN BEING ADVERTISED TO OR SPAMMED! IF I LIKE YOUR BAND I'LL FIND YOUR PAGE AND ADD YOU MYSELF! ....
...Sorry that needed to be said!
Anyway now thats out of the way I'm Lee and I'm a goth/cyber/metal type person but theres more to me than that...
I work for Royal Mail and live in Liverpool in the UK but you dont want to know about that...and talking about work is boring :P. I spend as much time as possible going to goth/ cyber/ alternative clubs and love dressing up for the occasion. People kind of think I'm a bit stuck up and elitist when they see me out but its not true! I'm just a bit shy but generally friendly once you get to know me and also a bit on the mad side, dancing is something I enjoy greatly when out and I have a totally daft sense of humour (some would say slightly twisted) :)
I have a fascination with the paranormal and the occult etc (though I dont practice occultism, I lean more towards Buddhism than anything else spiritually) and I also practice Reiki...the healing gift of the gods which I can vouch definitely works! I also have a big interest in myths and legends of various historical cultures (Greek, Roman. Celtic, Nordic, Oriental...any really)
I'm also an OBSSESSIVE Doctor Who fan and talk about it far too much ...hey but at least we're not as bad as the Trekkies, though we are getting there ;) And I'm as equally passionate in my dislike of most things sport related (though nowhere near as bad as I used to be)...although things like kendo and fencing interest me, but I've never got round to trying them.
Places I go/ or have been to in recent years:
Midian, The Krazyhouse, Korova and The Swan in Liverpool occasionally Adult books as well when I get time off work;
Hex in Birkenhead;
Jillies, Sin City and Implant in Manchester (must try 'Ara' and 'Caged Asylum' sometime as well);
Dark-Cide and Afterlife in Preston occasionally<
If I hear of other things going on in the north of England that sound good I do try to check them out when I can as well.
I like any altenative music thats good and especailly anything powerful but dance orientated. By that I DO NOT mean crappy trendy club music and radio friendly dance tunes (trance is good though! I dont count that in the commercial rubbish ;) ), I really like EBM, electroclash, futurepop and industrial which are all TOTALLY DIFFERENT and require much more imagination to make...I did try myself for a while, thats how I know that ;) I also like some metal/ rock music but I'm very choosy about it...theres just so much of it thats shite these days (blame Green Day and the rest of the Emo brigade that followed for that)
I love horror , fantasy and sci fi films/ shows, music and console games (particulary survival horror).
I also love seeing people dressed the way they want rather than just fitting in. I respect people with good images.
I'm not the type of person who just randomly adds people to my friendslist or goes looking through profiles, so if you happen to browse this and are looking for a genuine add as opposed to a number on a friendslist, say hi...(please do because I am ,believe it or not, quite shy...not really a 'first move' sort of person usually)
I dont have 'top friends'...I dont do favouritism...but seriously everyones equal on here (unless I actually tell you otherwise :P) ...so just a few good bands selected on my top friends bit :)
One last thing, if you add me I do not post on chain mail, so dont take it as offence if I dont post it on. You make your own luck in this world (to a certain extent at least) and chainmail isnt going to influence that either way!
Tetsuo: The Iron Man (note to self: never mention drill attachments on a date ;) )
The Calamari Wrestler (my money is on the guy with the tentacles):
Uzumaki...a particulary odd movie:
...and old but still good...
Who I'd like to meet: Real genuine people who arent unfamilier with the concept of meeting in real life, particualry alternative people who local
Dont try to sell me anything or make me listen to your music (that is spam)...I'm not here for that and am easily offended by it! ;)
I hope they take the money out soon, i wanna spend it but i know if i do that they'll take it out and i'll be overdrawn lol. Is that film out yet? I'll have to watch that, looks ace. Have you seen The Devil's Backbone? It's a Guillermo del Toro film, it's really good. Seems to sound a lot like the orphanage. He's got another one called Cronos which i've downloaded but not watched yet. There's a new film coming out called Funny Games with Tim Roth in that looks good, check out the trailer.
Hey how's tricks? Has the barfly taken the ticket money out of your bank account yet for The Presets gig? They haven't for me and it's been over two weeks now. I just wanted to know coz it's frustrating having money in your account that you can't spend lol.
I know that the one in Manchester is on till 5 so i think it's the same. I'm sure they'll be DJs on. I just checked one of the artist and his music was drum and bass, hope it's a different guy than the one i've just listened to lol.
Yeah, i've been checkin that site out and nothing's come up for that date but now it has, bizarre! The line up is different to the one i saw, maybe that's just for Manchester. I'm gonna check out the other people that are playin. I didn't think it was gonna be that much money. Lets just hope the rest of the bands are good.
Hey how are you? Have you heard any news on The Presets gig? I'm gonna try and get my ticket next week sometime, hope it hasn't sold out but i doubt it coz how have people been gettin their tickets? This gig is so unorganized, their myspace page is saying the 21st but other sites say the 23rd. I hope we get tickets though, i can't wait!!
I didn't go there sorry, I was really busy yesterday sorting out a lot of things. Kevin and me are thinking about setting up a new alternative night, if it happens, you'll be one of the first to know.
Hey lee how are you? is your internet working yet? If your not doing anything tomorrow night Ill come round to yours if ya want? Have,nt see ye for ages! x x
It was good to see you on Saturday at Nekrofest! I was quite relieved to hear you ate something a bit more substantial than leaflets when you got back to Hayleys, hehe! Thats gonna tickle me for a good while, I keep chuckling to myself in serious situations! We'll have to all get together and go to Darkmatterz, seeing as I didn't have an entirely dreadful night sober on saturday I'd prob be happy to drive if we're stuck for transport? See ya soon
Nice one, i'll have to try and get them. I must have kept myself together that night then, lol! I went to bumpers last night of hardman street and the music in there was ace!! Lots of elctro tunes, was there for hours moaning that they should have a dance floor, little did i know there was one and danced the last hour i was there, they played lots of Prodigy too!! We'll have to all go there one night, it's free to get in. Only prob is the people in there are trendys.
Hey Lee, how are ya? Was good to see ya the other night, sorry if me and Hayley were a little drunk, hehe! Didn't arf pay for it the next day with a banging headache. What was that film that you mentioned? Can't remember what it was called. Need to download some films.
No, that's not it, hehe! It's a french thriller. Here's the link - http://www.13themovie.com/ You can see the trailer on that site too. Ain't seen the first Fantastic Four, will have to check that out. Can't wait for 'Grindhouse: Planet Terror' that'll be amazing!! 'Death proof' looks ace too!! Oh before i forget check out 'The Lost Room' Just downlo
