James's Interests
General
I have been fishing for more than 45 years and enjoy fly fishing with my other fly fishing buddies more than any other type of fishing.
When I hit age 47 I learned to play guitar and can not begin to explain the pleasure that has given me.
I have loved Photoshop since I learned about it 10 years ago or so and I use it to create graphics for my online business and for my clients when they need a graphic for their websites.
I don't know if I enjoy creating web pages or just enjoy having web pages but my clients tell me all the time that they love my work and it makes them money.
Search engine optimization is a big interest as I have always tried to the best I can to get keyword phrases listed high in the search engine results pages.
Music
I saw Jimmy Buffet in concert in Toronto Canada about 30 years ago and the stage was full of tropical plants and palm trees. My friend Loretta and I had so much fun that the next day we both bought bus tickets and headed to Florida. What a couple of weeks that was. Wild and wonderful and much warmer than Canada in March.
John Prine was introduced to me by a friend when I was only about 16 years old and I have loved JP ever since. He has some great songs and go really good at guitar jams.
I have loved James Taylor music since the first time I heard him. When I want to relax and just chill James comes to mind.
Tracy Chapman has music that just gets into my soul and I don't mind that at all. I have a friend I play guitar with that can sing just like her. It's great fun.
Movies
I get enough reality in my daily life so I like to watch films that take me away for a while. I don't watch girly films because I don't like to cry in front of my wife or friends.
I guess that's why I like Sci-Fi, thrillers and action films.
I don't really go to the movies out side my home, instead it's much nicer to just watch them on a nice big wide screen in my theatre room.

Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich was a very eye opening books and a must read for anyone that wishes to more than just scrape by in life.
The Wealthy Barber was another very useful read and brought me to a new point in my finances.

About me: My name is James, I have been a web designer and marketer since 2001 and before that I was a computer hardware/software instructor. It just seemed natural to take up residence online when I semi-retired to my own home office.
I no longer take on new web design projects so that I can enjoy blogging about my hobbies on a dozen different blogs.
My interest now are in blogging about my hobbies. It so much more interesting to talk about something I am a bit fanatical about like, fly fishing, gardening, horseback riding, playing acoustic guitar, and and ... well you get the point. Talk about what you love and you won't run out of things to talk about.
Who I'd like to meet: Like minded marketers and of course those that share the same hobbies as I do.
I have not been to a blogging and marketing type seminar yet but hopefully in the next year I will get to travel to some place nice with some great Bass fishing.
