Changing the world for Christ™
What is “The Higher Way”? Who came up with the idea?
Basically, The Higher Way is a group of Christian young people (generally, 15-28 years old) on a mission to change the world for Christ – for the better. This group came to be shortly after I had read a friend’s blog and felt God leading me to do something like this, for Him. I, along with another close friend of mine started it up in early 2006 and with many prayers and God’s help, we’re planning on going far.
What is the goal, the mission?
To sum it up in a few words, we’re on fire for Christ and we are here to change the world for the better…to change the world for the only thing they think is worth living for and that is – Jesus Christ! That’s not all of it though, because in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” As we know, not everyone obeys everything Jesus has commanded – we, young Christians, want to change that common fact. Through another online blog as well as message board, we’re hoping to start spreading the Word and encouragement to other young people all around the world.
What can I, as a Christian young person, do?
There is a lot that you can do! You, a Christian young person, wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever colour, nationality, or whatever language you speak – you can help us. Whether it be giving us ideas, reaching out to your own community, friends and family, even your church, telling them what God has done in your life and how they can get to know Christ better – you would be helping us, as well as Jesus, in doing all of that! The Higher Way is just a group of regular people, following Matthew 28:19-20. We want to lead people to Christ; so really, there is a great amount of things that you can do for God. Scout around; think a bit… perhaps if you send an email in, we, the THW ‘staff’, would be willing to give you some ideas of what you can do.
