He was restringing by song two, and then again roughly five minutes later. After the precision assault that preceded, it was a bit like watching the gang that couldn’t shoot straight taking over from a Spec-Ops unit. But the Langley-based trio comes from a different rock ’n’ roll tradition, where a little slop and spillage is perfectly acceptable, if not expected, and the Hits eventually counted down through 40 minutes of adrenalized, three-chord mayhem.
Slips is always in good voice, and guitarist Kyle Riot threw some extra spicy leads into “Wind Me Up” and an untitled, “Hotel Yorba”–like new number, but, as ever, it was drummer Dusty McDonald who dominated from behind his magnificent 26-inch kick drum. " Adrian Mack

The look was distinctive - polished chrome rock and roll; only the absence of a cig pack rolled into a sleeve was missing from the full Jimmy Dean look.From the first chord you knew you were witnessing something special. I’ve seen thousands of new punk bands, new garage bands, new local bands, tribute bands and even all-girl bands. The Hits blew them ALL out of the water." "The lyrics are fun, original and catchy with real choruses. There’s a very real maturity about these boys. You know they get it. They’re a marketers dream with the look, the energy on stage, the arched back rock and roll poses; they love what they do and do what they love. The Hits are Lou Slips, Kyle Riot and Dusty Shots. Hello Everybody, We Are… is a huge-sounding, breathless half-hour of three-chord mayhem. From the opening track 'Wind Me Up' onwards, Slips and Riot bear down in unison to create a wall of guitar, stopping only for Riot's precarious solos or McDonald's sped-up John Bonham-esque drum fills. We are getting ready to take off on our first tour. We are crossing Canada. Never forget that it is people like you who allow us to continue on the road we are on. We're not sure if you caught our latest blog. But as you may know or not know, we are a new media recording studio in Squamish BC. We are calling all local bands that would like to participate in being part of the Studio's 1st offical CD release - a Sound & Soul Studios compilation disc featuring the 10 best performances/productions.
The cost to each band/solo artists is $100 for 1 song if you can play all your own parts and don't require any pre/post production.

$150 for 1 song which would include prouction.
Production work is being defined as layering, arrangements, session playing, etc. All within a 3 or 4 hour block, depending if you need or don't need production work.
