We at "The Liberal Media" strongly encourage everyone to get their news from a wide variety of sources... almost NEVER television. Read newspapers, blogs, and independent and international media. The basic networks will report the "official story" for you, but to find the TRUTH you need to look beyond that.......... To sum up the day's news with a few laughs there's The Daily Show with John Stewart & The Colbert Report. And to relax and forget about how crappy our current administration is, on Sunday's @ 8:00 is "The West Wing" on NBC.

We're pretty sure you've heard crooked, indicted felons masquerading as political leaders complain that we're "hurting America"... but who are we? The sad truth of the matter is that Disney, Viacom, Time Warner, News Corp (owned by Rupert Murdoch--a real nasty right wing son of a bitch), Bertelsmenn, and General Electric own 90% of the media market. Count 'em... that's 6 corporations who own 90% of everything you watch, read and listen to. And one can be most assured that these corporations have nothing to do with liberalism. ..................................................................................................................................
For the last 6 1/2 years, all three branches of our government have been controlled by the Republican Party. What has this led us to? Two wars, errosion of the constitutional principles upon which this great nation was founded, and by the time this President ends his second term he will have taken the national debt that has been accumulated over the entire life of our country... AND DOUBLED IT. ..................................................................................................................................
So where has this supposed "liberal media" been to refute and question the failed policies of neo-conservatism? To do our part to fill the void left by a lazy media beholden to their corporate owners, WE have become the media. We must be the media, YOU must be the media. Educate yourselves, educate each other... Question everthing, including us... spread the word. And in the words of Gandhi, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Who I'd like to meet: "The Liberal Media" is an underground newsletter written by progressive college students for anyone who insists that the news be told truthfully, honestly, and without influence of corporate funding or governemntal regulation. The Liberal media exercises and utilizes the first amendment to its fullest extent, a patriotic duty which sadly many Americans have neglected. Of course, we are inclined to our distinctions and ideals, however, we strive to provide news and commentary that is trustworthy, intellectually stimualting and entertaining -- the mediocre, yellow (chicken-shit) journalism provided by the main stream corporate media will not be found here.

What do you think of these newly discovered crime scene photos (viewed at Abu-Jamal-News.com)?
I have been personally contacting every media outlet I could find and still the mainstream media has completely ignored the story. Many independent media outlets have covered it, but the only independent outlet that has actually published one of the photos is the national Black newspaper, The SF Bay View (click here).
This is just the latest episode in a long history of corporate media bias (and arguably racism) towards Mumia and other political prisoners.
Regarding the 7/7/2005 terrorist attacks in London, let us look at the facts, and what we were told, and compare them. Then, using Ockham’s Razor and common-sense, let us see what conclusions are to be drawn, so we can all understand what most likely really did happen that day.

Yes Thoughtcrime, your comment was deleted. And you were blocked by this site. The Liberal Media welcomes opposing viewpoints if presented constructively in an effort to seek further knowledge, or come together to solve one of the many problems facing our nation.
Thoughtcrime's posts did neither, and he irresponsibly used this page as a platform to instigate childish bickering, and promote violent, hateful and harrassing rhetoric.
