    Roll up, roll up....

The Music House happens EVERY Friday and starts about 8 O'clock in what can only be described as a secret mediaevil cellar. Playing host to singer-songwriters, bands and musicians alike; we're the best acoustic music venue in the land.

Entry is free but a pint pot is passed round for a voluntary contribution of a £1 or more. Feel free to keep your pennies and shillings but they do help us fix our speakers, wires and gramaphone players.

Find The Music House at Jurnets Bar, Wensum Lodge, 169 King Street, Norwich NR1 1QW. We're the big pink building (and proud of it!) two doors along from The Waterfront.

Before Andrew and Alex were our hosts, The Music House was run for an amazing 10 years by Simon Black of Black Cat Music. His archive list of performers and some photographs can be found here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simonjohnblack/

    ....

So if you're keen on strumming your banjo, plucking your geetar and singing your own songs and you can bring along a throng of listeners let us know and we'll consider you for a spot at The Music House.

One of the best things about The Music House is
that it's a listening venue. That doesn't mean
we're a stuffy old folk club though. There's a bar
too where you can drink fine ales and wines and be
merry in the conversation and company of bohemeians
and ladies and gentleman alike.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks so much for having me again, I really enjoyed it despite having to scamper off early to sort out the cold. Hopefully I safely contained my germs from everyone!

    Take Care,

Bands, promoters and venues feel free to add to the NEW what's on. We would do it for you but then that's all we would be doing alday instead of getting on with working on the new sections. The search results were excellent with our old site, (the stats proved people were using the site to look for gigs/events.) they are going to be even better with this one

Just type in "alternative music community" or "NEW alternative music" in google and see the results for yourselves!!! and if you click UK we're even higher! Don't miss out on a great way to promote your band or gigs and events.

There is more options for members to do. New more indepth profiles, members galleries that are easy to add photos to, a new gig and events what's on section, brand new directory listings. But.. the old forum and accounts.

We've got more to add too, but for now tweaking and the occasional bug fixing on the sections that are already up. Plus adding odd listings in the what's on and directory.

    Check us out at http://www.unitedmoshers.com

P.s any current members may have to click forgot password link before they can login, this has not been the case for everyone but for some members. Any problems then just contact us.

    Hey, cheers for the add.
Seen a couple of nights at your place before, very nice atmosphere.
We do play acoustically from time to time, so if you're ever short a band or two, feel free to give us a shout, we'd love to give it a go.
    Cheers
