General
Trying to get healthier, learn more, making friends all over the world on the internet. Filling out surveys, signing petitions, trying to help make the world a better place even if it is just a little. Trying to make ends meet. Playing with my grandson, watching movies, cleaning. Wishing I could learn another language, play the piano, learn more about herbal healing, earn a doctorate in that field. I have never been married, I have been asked quite a few times though. My favorite saying is: "The exchange of rings does give one a certain seemingly solid legal bearing in this perceived world order of familial responsibilities, but it is not necessary for the heart." The heart can make family from strangers and strangers of family. And a legal binding can feel just like that; a binding. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with anyone that didn't want to be with me, strangers (like lawyers, judges) really don't need to be involved with something as personal as how people feel about one another. It is an extremely complicated and detailed life, and cannot be narrowed down to a simplistic restrictive law. Although I probably would have been married if I had met someone worthy, after I turned 34. Oh, well. Things that would be very hard to live without: (1)My fur-person (2)My Computer (3) My vitamins/minerals/herbs (4) Cleaning products (5) Electronics/Appliances (6) Oh, and Electricity, of course. LOL (7) My son and grandson(s). I think about: How to be healthier and Look better. Why men keep saying that women are emotional, don't they realize that anger is an emotion too?? Why do men think that they can be angry at a lot of stupid nothings all the time, but women can't stress vitally important issues or they need a 'valium'. Why do men get angry at you, because you are angry at them, because they did something wrong?? Why does it never occur to men that the words "I'm Sorry, I messed up, I will try not to do it again." (and actually make the effort) can cure a lot of hurt; stop stupid arguments; halt resentment, distrust, and lowered respect (death to a relationship, and sex life).

About me:

I have a grown son and two small grandsons. I am serious about health and nutrition. I like gardening, reading, cooking, computers, movies, animals, science fiction, fantasy, nature, convenience, comfort, Learning, computers. I have four cats, three snakes since 1999 (boas), and one small dog. I grew up Baptist, have studied many religions, currently agree with the [[Wicca]] philosophy although the Stargate SG-1 theories merit some thought and consideration. I rarely drink alchohol. Hate sports. Live in a small town, I miss the stores of a large city; would love to travel. Need/want to learn many things. I can find humour in just about anything, but you don't joke about serious things. You need to have a well-developed sense of humour also. (isn't it funny how everyone thinks they have a sense of humour??) I am very versatile; a little like both Dharma and Greg; and both their parents. I can identify with all of their beliefs and attitudes and see myself. People notice my long blonde hair, my big blue eyes. I am pretty enough for all practical purposes, friendly but I stand up for my basic human rights, passionate, and my voice sounds very young.

Who I'd like to meet:

I would love to find a s/w/m 38-60 that is intelligent, educated and well dressed like Frasier and Niles Crane but not so frazzled; like Rupert Giles from 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' but more sure of himself, his knowledge, and his abilities; very clean with an awesome memory and pays attention to all the little details like Monk (USA Network) but not so afraid of the world, and without the non-sense phobias (the sensible ones are ok); composed and in control like Warf from 'Star Trek' but not so angry and uncompromising; like Tilk from SG-1 but more friendly and funny; passionate like Antonio Bandaras in most of his movies; adorable, open minded, loves and respects animals and nature like Steve Erwin; friendly, curious, intelligent and honorable like Sinclair Bryant from the movie 'Close My Eyes' but more sensitive to my needs and wouldn't accept such behavior as.....well you have to see the movie. I passed a preliminary MENSA test when I was 15. I really like smart men, (can't find any though) but wouldn't want someone who would be cruel to those who aren't or haven't had the chances that they have had....but then again....library books are free...hmmm. (Talk [[technical]] to me and I will melt) It would be great to find a man that can see well, hear well, have all his own healthy teeth, speak clearly, be physically and mentally healthy, read well, know and use proper grammar, have a good memory (remembering things correctly would be a bonus), isn't lazy, know how to operate electronics and appliances, be clean, clean cut - sharp dressed and a down to earth, a realist, environmentally conscious, respectful, responsible (taking responsibility for his own actions would be a coup), have a conscience; Fully possess morals/ethics/scruples/integrity/principles and not change them to win an argument; or when the situation/the people involved changes. Be a rational-mature intelligent adult. Maybe I am asking too much.
