About me:
The Women's Center is a non-profit mental health counseling and resource center for women, men, couples and families in the Washington metropolitan area. Our clinical staff of over 100 therspists is committed to providing immediate and affordable individual, couples, family and group counseling services to improve lives and help individuals make more informed personal and professional decisions. We offer sliding scale fees to clients who qualify.
Throughout the year, we offer educational programs led by therapists at the Center and other qualified professionals in the area. Topics covered include career and professional development, financial education, personal growth, and separation and divorce. We can also assist with professional transitions with career counseling, the Information and Career Advisory Network (ICAN) which connects individuals with three professionals in their field of interest, career programs, resume reviews, and networking opportunities.
The Center held its 22nd Annual Leadership Conference on March 29, 2008 at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The Conference focused on "The Power to Make a Difference," and brought together some 600 women of varied backgrounds, professions, and ages in a unique and exciting event focused on women in leadership.
