SWEEPING UP THE LEAVES
I’ve just hit the ceiling because I don’t like what I’ve found
So I’m cooling off my guns and heading underground
I’m stopping all the papers they only ever bring me down
For all intents and purposes just say that I’ve left town
All those crazy thoughts will one day be a memory
So call it off this fantasy it’s time to face reality and
I wonder who’s sweeping up the leaves?
For forty days and nights I was wrapped up in the wildest dream
The world had found the answer to the question how to let of steam
We’re living in the garden but ignoring what the garden needs
So I’m getting out, waking up, digging in sowing seeds
All those crazy thoughts will one day be a memory
So call it off this fantasy it’s time to face reality and
I wonder who’s sweeping up the leaves?
I think it over I bet I’m not the only one
nothings for ever I’m just undoing what’s undone
Who’s sweeping up the leaves they’re not picked up
wont you help me please
