Formed in 1982, The Abortion Squad was assembled from the remnants of two high school punk bands, The By-Produx, and The Fizzical Fits. Inspired by the early 80's hardcore scene, we combined and wrote new songs and kicked up our punk sound a notch to Hardcore. In 1983 we hit the recording studio and put out a now 'rare" cassette demo tape featuring legendary songs such as "You Make Me Sick" and "No Athority, No Rules" which earned us airplay on local Boston area college stations, not bad for a bunch of punk kids from Manchester NH. We enjoyed a good run of success in the 80's playing shows in Boston with other area hardcore bands, we enjoyed having had the pleasure of being on the bill with such notable acts as G.G. Allin and The Jabbers, G.B.H., and even Boston pop icons The Neighborhoods. The 90's proved to be a rough patch for us, going through several line up changes, etc., but we were able to keep it together long enough to play regional gigs from Nashua NH, to Portland Maine. By the late 90's the band all but disolved, due to several circumstances. In 2005 we got our asses back in gear and re-grouped, recently we have been back in the recording studio working on a new kick-ass hardcore punk rock CD. In the last two years it has been fun, right now though we need a new drummer luckily it was not a long search. We now welcome "Freebird" aka Dylan Lee
