Check out what the Press/Media says about The Absolute Zeros
"...I'm glad I heard The Absolute Zeros, they have a definite, definite sound. This is wonderful. It's a little acoustic, a little folk, a little funk...." - Acoustic Philly Podcast 26, June 17, 2007 (Single Played - "The Trouble With Love") - www.acousticphilly.com
"...Diversity is one of the strong points behind The Absolute Zeros. Not only does their music cross many styles, but their members cross many generation and walks of life.... When put together they all make incredible music." - The Compendium, Volume 3, Issue 7 - www.localmusicnetwork.com
"The Absolute Zeros are one of the "must see acts" at the Dewey Beach Music Conference" - Spark Weekly (Delaware), September 25, 2007 www.sparkweekly.com
"The Absolute Zeros have only been together for about a year, but already they have formed a tight-knit bond over their passion for music......[they] have a positive outlook and zealous dedication for music—something that is needed to survive in today's music scene" - Campus Philly, February 2008 - www.campusphilly.org
"...[The Absolute Zeros are a] brand new band to Hometown Heroes....they recently sent in their CD....cool new band!" - Mark Rogers - Host of 93.7 WSTW Hometown Heroes (Delaware) - March 9, 2008 (Single played - "We Can Sell You Anything")
"If at first the Absolute Zeros sound like just another classic rock-influenced local band, listen again...The Absolute Zeros' rangy tunes blend modern rock moves with Hendrix-heavy guitar, bluesy digressions and James Brown-style funk. It's a sweaty and dynamic combination..." - Philadelphia Weekly - April 16-22, 2008 www.philadelphiaweekly.com
"...the Zeros are way more interesting than any rising local band has any right to be....their sound dips into any number of familiar genres without becoming stuck in any....the band's lively playing and Cochrane's impassioned vocal style keep the energy level high." - Origivation Magazine, June 2008 (pages 24-25) Vol 7, Issue 4
"A British invasion influence is clear in their music, which combines the rollicking bravado of the Stones or Zeppelin with the wry quirkiness of the Kinks or the Velvets and guitar-wailing of Clapton... an impressive act, whose history of high-energy, sold-out shows has been winning fans across the city." - Kate Bracaglia, http://www.uwishunu.com/the-absolute-zeros-live-at-doc-watson’s/, July 11, 2008
"...[The Absolute Zeros' sound has] a sort of ‘loose’ feeling. It doesn’t feel overproduced...It is the antithesis to all the ‘manufactured’ top40 rock music out there. - Emily Travis, http://thebrokenbell.com/2008/07/11/this-weekend-the-absolute-zeros/, July 11, 2008
"It was well worth the wait to see [The Absolute Zeros]...I will be catching more of them in the future and, I am sure, enjoying watching them grow into a major force to promote the "Philly Sound"...." - Rick Sutcliffe, www.paconcertreview.com/the-absolute-zeros.html, October 27, 2008

"Having a special quality that allows for one's music to stand out from the crowd can really help make a band shine. Such diversity is one of the strong points behind The Absolute Zeros. Not only does their music cross many styles, but their members cross many generations and walks of life. When put together, they all make incredible music." Bill McThrill, The Compendium Vol 3, Issue 7
The Absolute Zeros have been together since late 2006 and continue to grow musically, currently writting new material and expanding their live set to new exciting dimensions. The summer of 2009 marks big changes for the band with longtime lead guitarist Austin Madert leaving and drummer Bill Rose putting down his sticks to take the role of lead guitarist. Mike Sharkansky, the newest member of the band, will be sitting behind the kit playing drums in the new lineup. Along with original founding members Kelvin Cochrane and Steve Lamonica, this new lineup is sure to bring a refreshing new energy to the AZ live set and fresh inspiration for new songs. With an already established presence in the Philadelphia local music scene, the Absolute Zeros are ready bring their music to new fans while at the same time keeping things fresh, interesting and always fun.
