Honest, articulate and insightful, I never insist that you look at an issue a certain way as do so many mainstream "big voices" from Washington, D.C. I want my listeners to think. I find great stories that should register with people a little longer, shares the source with my listeners and encourage them to find it and "read more about it." Whether small news items that were probably missed, new book or music titles or stories about how people are living differently, I challenge you to change your paradigm. One week great stories might come from Rolling Stones, New Republic and Business Week. The next week it's Mother Jones, The International Herald Tribune, TIME and The WEEK. "There is never enough time to share an item in its entirety and discuss it, but I send my listeners on their way knowing where to find it and hopefully giving listeners an understanding that there is a very small portion of what's going on in the world that's actually delivered to their front doors or that they tune into at 6 and 11."

In addition to news from great sources, give a listen to regular features of The Angry Black Woman Show with Sunny James. "Word for the Week" encourages listeners to buy a current dictionary and expand their vocabulary. "Where in the World is . . ." sends listeners to their maps and atlas to find the new and the familar and for the musically stuck in a rut, the paradigm twisting, "Give a Listen."
