From one-man-band to highly eclectic rock trio - this is the evolution of The Actors. All three members broke from their previous environs - songwriter/frontman Phil Maves out of the recording studio, drummer Justin Ward out of the Chicago post-rock crowd, and guitarist Dan Leech out of art-poppers Better Than Aliens - to create a highly melodic and textured sound straight out of everything you've ever liked about music.
Floating through the same universe as Talking Heads and Tortoise, DJ Shadow and David Bowie, The Police and Pavement, the music of The Actors is like hearing a band's greatest hits record beamed backward, into something of an unwritten present we like to call "the moment." Listen, internalize, dance, obsess.
