I JUST WANT TO START BY saying thanks to all my friends and supporters who've sent such encouraging messages to my personal site (myspace.com/jackrush) - Thanks to everyone (from the actors, writers, musicians, and other artists) who helped in the making of this book, by providing anecdotes, inspirational stories, or simply tricks of the trade that have allowed you all to be so successful in a world that is not always reaching out with open arms to aspiring artists.
It's my hope that in writing this book, and getting it out to actors who are trying to find their path, that we'll all be able to take that next step (or giant leap!) in pursuing our dreams.

Who I'd like to meet:
I am hoping to connect with artists, especially actors, who are just starting out or who are looking for new ways to launch their careers. This book is a wholistic, over-arching approach to the business side of being an artist. In my years working in the film industry I've come to know many, many actors - and the successful ones really do have routines, or habits, or systems of getting themselves out there that work for them. I've pulled all of this together, along with tips and secrets from producers, directors, and casting directors, and assembled a depot of information that I hope will be an inspiration to you all!
